“Repression Breeds Violence”

“Where Justice Ends Tyranny Begins”

Well we have both now.

So nothing can stop what is coming, nothing.

“While we can agree that there are several ‘common sense’ and long overdue changes needed to our nation’s gun laws...”

No we can’t agree.

Great quote

Indeed, there is no way for tyrants to rule innocent men that insist on exercising their God given rights.

You don’t agree with repealing as many gun control laws as we can?

As long as you have a rifle, you still have a vote. As many of them as you can send downrange.

The US military, National Guard, Police number about 2,500,000 men.
VS.
20,000,000 civilian semi-auto rifle owners, and maybe 75 million other firearm owners, and over 400,000,000 firearms out there. 250,000,000 high cap magazines in private hands.

And the government thinks they can “regulate” that?

Of course mate! But the use of their term “common sense” turns me off.

They don’t have enough prisons to hold everyone, nor the time to do it.

shut down Apple Frank and Teddy. Allow employees to transfer to equal or better jobs that help (or at least do not harm) America. Many of them will appreciate the opportunity.
Then, restore firearms safety training and shooting sports in high schools.
Finally (and I do not ordinarily support govt giveways, but since we have so many anyway...) at least consider a firearms purchase voucher program to enable any American citizen who cannot afford one to select a good one for his or her defense, needs. Poor people need to defend themselves at least as much as anybody else.

"'Assault rifle' is a term sometimes used by the military to define a rifle that has select-fire capabilities,..."

Not unless the Army has used that phrase since the '90s. I never heard or saw it. It was called our "weapon" or "rifle," and that's all.

"Assault" was used alone to describe offensive missions. There was no "assault rifle."

the first thing communists, Nazis, and nearly all other kinds of dictators do is try to take away citizens’ firearms.

Yes, you are right that I should have read further. I stand behind being glad to not be spending money to support them as that was the most ham-handed advocacy letter I ever read. They buried their main point on the second page, they have no concept of how federalism works, & don’t seem to grasp that anything “given” by the feds can go away just as quickly.

One common sense thing to do is not drop charges against Antifa thugs, leaving them free to arm themselves.

I think that is their path forward. Domestic terrorists with weapons cache and thousands of rounds. Never mind a couple of 550 boxes or tub of .22lr is a thousand rounds. But it looks good on the news.

Yeah...one of those meaningless adjectives. We could turn it on them. Does it make sense that civilians can’t own M-4 clones without paying for an SBR stamp? No. And the 16” barrel generates more energy than the 14.5. Wouldn’t it be “common sense“ to eliminate the 16” barrel requirements for over-the-counter AR purchases?
