I looked at several videos of the Mars landing. A lot of fluff and some meat, if I may mix metaphors.
Who noticed the control room. The rows of consoles had ribbons of blue light across the fronts.
I love and respect our efforts to go into space, but don’t enjoy the hollywood treatment. Maybe I’m too technical.
Did they see any rocks?

Mars looks the same all over, and we keep spending billions to prove it.
We did that with the Moon with far less advanced technology.....

I can’t believe you typed that question. Of course there are Americans who have no clue, and think just having a face diaper over some part of your face is enough.
Meanwhile, yesterday in Ohio, 1461 new cases in a population of about 11M. And we’re still hiding. I can’t even begin to express my disgust and sadness over what Americans have become.
Lots of pretty smart people there in that video, I wonder if any of them have anything less than PHDs......?

Yes, and all of Mars looks like Saudi Arabia, except Mars is desolate.
And Saudi, give it this. When you go outdoors, they got air you can breathe. And getting there takes a matter of hours, and costs a couple of grand. Its true you cant get a drink in Saudi, but the food, especially Indian food, is great.
Plus the women in Saudi, they got beautiful eyes.
I do my best not to comply with the mask mandate as well. What really gets me is the people driving alone in their cars wearing masks. I am just dying to ask one of them why they are wearing a mask when they are by themselves.

Why does everybody have to be in front of the camera? They need to just show the pictures shut the heck up and let the people enjoy it. There was a guy on zoom and he looked and sounded so egotistic and snobbish trying to explain something or other ...I tuned out. I’ll catch it later when they just show the pictures and mars video!
It’s seems we are in the minority, if you don’t like subjects move along who cares, but to some it appears they are more interested in denigrating the mission.....sad actually...
