Anyhoo, a huge earthquake is being predicted for the west coast possibly by March 6. So, who cares.

Whoa, if you really believe that, I wish you well. Perhaps you don’t even live in CA.

I am a second generation Californian. After sixty years I have fled. To quote Margret Thatcher, “The problem with socialism, is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

California is on the brink of a societal collapse. The have-nots are about to turn on the haves. It is not going to be pretty. Not sure what the final trigger is going to be, but stay tuned, it will happen and within the next year or so. ANTIFA has already proven that they don’t care who is in the White House or the governor’s mansion.

don’t think you could break it if you tried.

Wait, what? Do you have ostrich DNA?

Mismanagement for decades, people fleeing, including businesses. Nothing is too big to fail. Once the Federal Government fails due to its unsustainable debt accumulation, all states will fail. Especially if the dollar is no longer the world's principal reserve currency. 2022 may not be the date, but it probably is not that far off.

Freepers have been posting “CA economic collapse is just around the corner” threads for the entire 20 years I’ve been here.

I like that recent post addressed by Texans to Californians moving into Texas “Remember you are refugees, not missionaries.”

Hard to believe that CA had a future. It was a different world.

They have most of it locked up behind glass. You need a clerk to open it up. But from time to time they have the good stuff on deep discount so it’s worth it.

I’m in CA and holding tight. I don’t want to cede the beautiful weather and wine country to the leftists. Why should they get this?

On the other hand, perhaps this is what the Jews said in their beautiful Europe in the 1930s.

I have 4 kids and it kind of depends where they do or don’t flee to. One has fled to NC; the others are still in CA. All 4 parents and in-laws still in CA too.

I sadly think that has already happened.

No—I go wine tasting in Napa etc nearly every weekend. I’m never asked my politics. . .:)

And the sun and nature—the beautiful hills and oak trees— never do either.

The school districts are another matter. . .

:-)

When we have vacayed in Napa (and, it’s been a long time, since)...no one asks about our politics....because they like our $$.

However....majority of wine country biz’s are leftist owned, right?

Funny how those little commies love our capitialist earned $$.

I was born and raised here.

Just drove through 26 miles of continuous almond blossoms yesterday. An unbroken wall.

I’ll stay and fight.

Cops no longer have to go to accident scenes—or to home burglaries, either.

I have NO IDEA how the insurance companies are handling this.

Judge Judy often asks for a police report...

Just around the corner: “Judge, the police won’t come to an accident scene”.

It has been very taxing waiting for the day. Life was great in California for the longest time. It wasn’t until the 90s that things started feeling “wrong”. I mean, Republican Governor Deukmejian was seated until 1991. Gray Davis came in and things soon started to feel bad.

But since 2000, I have just been chomping at the bit to get our of California. And you know it has gone from bad to worse to Hell on earth.

I am literally counting the days. Stupid Covid and evil Chinese, or I would have left California last summer. I’m not waiting any longer. I am out of here. Yes, it is going to be very refreshing, and very entertaining to watch from a distance as California imploded. Pass the popcorn.
