So the little boy who froze to death in his family’s mobile home owes his death to Biden. Yet we are hearing more about Ted Cruz’s dog than blaming Biden for peoples’ deaths. Typical libtard enemedia choice.

Strange how it happens in a Republican state. They brought that election suit to the SCOTUS. And now they are freezing because he won’t let them crank up the power. Blood is on bidens hands and I hope the news gets out. Everyone needs to know. But social media and news won’t run it.

Why didn't @GovAbbott simply order all Texas power generation facilities to operate at peak efficiency and force Biden to send his army to Texas to stop us?

That question needs to be asked on 100 other issues as well.

Texas should have told the EPA to pound sand. What are they going to do, write Texas a really stern letter? Maybe a fine? Power was switch off by command, not the weather. People froze. Why do we need the fedgov?

Not going to follow the link to Twitter. That place is full of disinformation.

If this is true, why doesn’t Abbot publicize it instead of saying ERCOT needs reform?

I was disappointed by the statement he made to that effect.

Okay, GOP, there’s your talking point: Biden killed people. You can even go all “muh free markets” on this one. Mitch? Ben? Lisa? Kevin? I can’t hear you for some reason. Biden policy got people killed. The GOP leadership appears to be fine with that.

#6 is spot on.

The governor of Texas shares Biden’s responsibility in this mess.

I would have told the EPA to go to Hell. What is wrong with Texas?

Please cite the reports and or documentation of these allegations.

And no A twitter link to some random person does not count as a citation.

I am not saying these are not true, but I want documentation of this...

Several searches at DuckDuck Go, Bing and Google produced not confirmation of what is being said here. Like others, I want this to be true, but will need more than a vanity and a twitter account to believe this story.

No offense is intended, but I will quote Reagan: Trust, but verify.

While I have no doubt that this is something that Biden and his EPA would do, I'm not sure I believe the story.

I can't imagine that Abbott would abide by a ridiculous directive from the EPA while his people were freezing. If this actually did happen and he didn't immediately tell the EPA to shove it up their ass then he shouldn't be governor.

“On Sunday, Abbott sought and received a waiver from the U.S. Department of Energy that allows Texas power generators to increase production. Unfortunately, some of those generators are unable to increase production at this time because their operations have been frozen by weather conditions. They are working to get their power production back on line.”

My questions:
  1. What would the penalties have been, if any, had Texas just ignored the EPA and ordered facilities to full capacity.
  2. And even so, generation from each source type dropped. Why did it drop? Was that because individual facilities had issues, and others couldn't increase because of the EPA restrictions?
  3. What justification does the EPA have for having the limits?
  4. Can this be used to fight against the EPA limits. Perhaps a lawsuit, demanding that the EPA drop the limits in extraordinary times. Or drop them altogether if there is not a clear justification for them.
  5. One justification I can think of for limits is to ensure there is excess capacity in the system. But if that is the case, then they failed miserably, because this was the time to use the excess capacity.

I agree. Texas should have ignored the order, except for preparing necessarily legal docs if they were to be sued.
