Sen. Ted Cruz is in the doghouse with some critics who blasted him for reportedly leaving his pet pooch, Snowflake, at home amid freezing temps — as he and the rest of the family jetted off to Cancun, Mexico.
The Republican lawmaker has claimed in the wake of public outrage that he was merely escorting his pre-teen daughters on their trip with friends — noting that, like millions of his fellow Texans, his family had lost heat and water.

We have always had weiner dogs, ususally more than one. If you have just one it typically gets severe seperation anxiety when you leave it alone in the house and does bad things while you are gone. They are amazing beggars and they all love smoked beef, and pork.
It's not a crime to leave your pet home tended to by a security guard the pet probably knows well. The dog probably prefers it to going to a kennel.
I leave my dog at home when I vacation. The neighbor walks him and feeds him.

Leaving a dog with a pet sitter is “unforgivable?” And you asked for evidence earlier, if Cruz’s house is never empty. Read the story. See how easy it is for conservatives to be distracted by nonsense? Let the country go to hell because an effective senator left his dog in the care of a guard.

In River Oaks Texas the power was out; they didn't get much snow and the temperatures reached the 40s for two days before the picture was taken. It will be reaching the upper 60 by the middle of next week. The security guard parked in the driveway who confirmed that it was Ted's house to the person who took the picture said that he was taking care of the dog. Obviously the dog was in no danger.
Ted is the most recent recipient of the “Trump Curse” where those on our side who throw President Trump under the bus get their butts handed to them shortly afterwards. He is serving a very important purpose here as an example to the rest of the weasels who are suppose to be on our side. Good job Ted, we owe you one buddy!

I am okay with leaving the dog home (with a sitter). But I will slam Ted for owning a poodle (of all breeds).

It would be good if Ted Cruz focused on being a good Senator for Texas and forgot about violating the Constitution,
He is not natural born citizen and is ineligible to be President.
When I have to leave my dog even for a few hours I’m the one that gets separation anxiety.
I’m crazy about my little boy “Ollie”.
I would never go on vacation without him.
