In total there were more than 21 million background checks conducted last year, compared to just over 13 million in 2019, and while there has been a steady increase yearly of around 8 percent, 2020 saw that significant jump. According to data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), while December saw a 24 percent increase in year-over-year sales, just after the election in November sales jumped by 49 percent from the prior year.

I was firmly in the I hate creedmore camp having never shot one simply because of all the constant bleehing by the gun rags and every shooting blog and board. Then I stumbled on a cheap as in under $300 complete supper in 24” flutted stainless for one of my AR 10s so I was like ok I’ll bite. I can say I don’t shoot 308 any more out of that AR. The 6.5 is quarter sized 150m groups off the bipod and so little recoil you can watch the hits in the scope. I’m a convert plus ita super easy to reload and so far after 5 reloads I haven’t trimmed the brass only neck sized. Accurate, effectively zero recoil in a heavy bench weight gun, easy to reload and easy on brass with a flatwe trajectory than any 308 due to nearly double the BC for equivalent weight bullets. 150grs in each. Mine is a 1:6 twist so it can shoot the heavys I liked the 6.5 so much I got the grendal version for the smaller AR 15 platform it’s also a shooter having replaced both the 7.62x39 and 300 Aac as my treestand sub 200m deer blaster.

Thanks for the review. I don’t spend much time on the bench anymore but I’m tempted to pick one up after things settle down for dispatching groundhogs.

I believe you mean 6.5mm.

There's apparently a 6mm Creedmore, also - I've seen the ammo sitting on the shelf at a local store for months (so I'm guessing it's less common/popular than the 6.5mm). I've also seen a reference to a .25 Creedmore, which made me laugh; the Creedmore case is nearly identical to the "Ackley Improved" version of the classic .250-3000 Savage, so the quarter-bore variant (at least) of 'the new hotness' has basically been around since FDR was president...

I've been wanting to get one of those, but can't find one (guess they're currently in demand, like everything else ;>)...

Man I ain’t kidding....tack driver....that’s maybe best 30 caliber grouping of my life

I ain’t not near the shot 90% of Freepers say they are

That grouping is a 63 year old man over a Silverado hood in 6-20 knot wind ...with galloping heart pulse due to arrhythmia and pacemaker....it’s impossible for me to zone between beats

I was adjusting the cheap Putin glass.....great optics though for 150 bucks

She was about six inches off paper to start....starboard

We own some truly fine khales and zeiss glass but man the price is now even worse

But what makes those what they are is two things

They draw in light late or early like few others

And you throw the scope to your eye fast and the view field is instant ....no having to worm your eye back and forth no worrying about scope love to your eyebrow or nose bridge

But 2000 a scope versus half that for a Monarch or Vortex is getting harder to justify except for rich folks

Thanks for the education. I read a bit on it, basically the 6.5 necked down to .243 designed for semis.
