ENOUGH: WSJ Compares Reddit Investor ‘Cult’ to Capitol Hill Rioters
NewsBusters ^ | 2/1/2021 | Joseph Vazquez

The media want to compare Reddit investors who outsmarted Wall Street hedge funds to the Capitol Hill rioters.

This all part of the media freakout over the trading in GameStop and other stocks. The Wall Street Journal tweeted out an outrageous story, headlined “GameStop, Bitcoin and QAnon: How the Wisdom of Crowds Became the Anarchy of the Mob.” The tweet was insane: “What the gleeful anarchy of this week’s ‘stonks market’ had in common with the Capitol riot of Jan. 6.” The story read like an op-ed: “What’s happening on WallStreetBets is of a piece with other internet phenomena, from bitcoin mania to the online conspiracy theories of QAnon, and the events leading up to the Capitol riot.”

The newspaper would not let up in its use of hyperbole, though. It later equated Reddit investors with QAnon and also likened Redditors to a cult:

"The way in which WallStreetBets members convinced themselves that their quest was just and good echoes the logic, if not the sentiment, found in QAnon forums … It’s also the logic of a cult, achieved with some of the same psychological tricks.”

Is the WSJ owned through proxies by the CCP yet?

Wall Street should be paranoid.

The natives are restless and revolting.

So, it appears that the WSJ’s staff has some hedge fund investors who have been burned.

I dropped the Journal awhile back, they had become Leftist and certainly the WSJ of old. Murdoch ruined the paper and it’s editorial policies. I think Robert Bartley was the last good editor they had. Much like Forbes Magazine, after Malcom died it just wasn’t the same and they are owned by the Chinese now.

The Hell with them!

That paper is basically a useless rag now outsourcing of jobs and pretty much having China run out foreign policy is the way they’ve been for several years now

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) became a tabloid and is irate that they’ve been supplanted by the internets as the source for financial information. They really hate that Wall Street is replaced by Cyber Street who doesn’t care for their propaganda.

Didn’t Jimmy Kimmel wax apologetic for the hedge-funds on his show recently. Maybe he should start writing editorials for the WSJ.

~~~
The WSJ has a symbiotic relationship with these people. They’re not the only ones, but they write as if they are talking to the greater population, but for the most part, they do the bidding of the extremely wealthy, and they benefit from it.
While it is more complex than the coverage of it, at its core it is simply a group of little people doing what the big people have been doing for decades and its costing the big people a lot of money.
The fact that people are talking about prosecuting the little guys for gaming the big guys is very disturbing to me. Justice has a double standard and now we see the same caste system more clearly for the investment bankers.
The veil was torn away on this in the 2008 housing bubble implosion. Too big to fail and too big to jail.
Institutions are pounding the bid in SLV today. The world is awash in new silver production as it is byproduct of gold production. There is so much silver warehouse space is expensive to keep ingots. They lock the forklifts capiable of moving ingots in the safe and 5000kg blocks are secure. You dont have to be a genuis or gold rush watcher with cheap energy costs, low labor demand in construction, the miners have produced a ton of gold and silver to unload wherever seasons are a thing.
Yes. He even blamed Russia as being behind this.
Of course this same reasoning in no way applies to Antifa or BLM.....
The WSJ lied about Trump having a quid pro quo 8 times in his conversation with the Ukrainian President.
“Too big to fail and too big to jail.”
As long as you are on the correct team, you can’t be jailed. Worked for the perjurer in the FISA case.
