Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Rips Biden For Revoking Keystone Pipeline Permit

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “disappointed” in President Biden’s executive order that would revoke a key permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Trudeau’s comments come as the company behind the construction of the pipeline said work on the project was being suspended.

“While we welcome the President’s commitment to fight climate change, we are disappointed but acknowledge the President’s decision to fulfill his election campaign promise on Keystone XL,” Trudeau said.

On his first day in office, Biden signed a series of executive orders that included revoking “permits signed over the past 4 years that do not serve the U.S. national interest, including revoking the Presidential permit granted to the Keystone XL pipeline.”

Odd how climate concerns only involve pipelines granted permits over the last four years.

Also pretty impressive how Trudeau expresses disappointment but shrugs his shoulders because, ‘Well, he said it during the campaign so he has to do it.’

At any time, Biden is likely to “suspend” any of his edict

Hunter will make a trip to Canada and everything will be OK.

This is all part of the Biden Doubel Secret Probation Economic Stimulation Plan. Since the oil from Canada will have to be moved by truck and rail, that means increased production of new trucks and railroad equipment, plus increased costs from any spills that happen in the alternative transportation.

And think of all the illegal aliens who can buy a commercial driver license and drive oil tankers across the country. Of course, the oil can be used to produce electricity, to power the liberal Prius and Prius clones, so everybody is happy.

Stopping the pipeline isn’t about globull warming.

Warren Buffet makes a billion dollars a year transporting the oil in rail cars (IIRC) - he owns the railway and the trains.

I wonder who he supported for President./s

I think it was a bit stupid of the industry to not pour everything into Keystone the minute President Trump signed the permit, hire 100,000 workers, work day and night. It would be A LOT more difficult for Biden to cancel something that was up and running (and the government would likely be on the hook for damages as well).

There will be plenty more of this. Biden is just an empty shell, and any activist who has his ear or who will flash her boobs can get him to do her bidding.

Some liberal judge would have halted this already if Trump had issued this EO

It seems to me that the revocation of an already granted Federal permit is the same as the passing of an ex post facto law under a Federal Statute and could be argued as being unconstitutional. Too many people have relied on the granting of that permit to their detriment when it is wiped out by mere whim with the stroke of a Presidential pen.

Those so impacted should get an injunction against the Presidential EO for illegally and unconstitutionally pulling that permit.
