I got an email from the GOP yesterday looking for money. They had the unmitigated gall to keep using the phrase “Putting America First”. I unsubscribed.
Trump, in 2017, holds a couple of rallies endorsing the first round of CONgressional candidates. He endorses specific candidates, and even stays out of races where the candidates do not meet his standards.
There's really no sense in imagining what he SHOULD have done, but maybe at this point he should do the following in the future:
Plead. Beg. DEMAND republicans STOP donating ANY money to ANY republican candidate, or to the RNC, especially. EXCEPT candidates on Trump's official APPROVED LIST™. This is key; convincing republicans and wealthy donors to ditch the corrupt WEAK, STUPID republic-nts.
Websites like Conservative Review can help out with scorecards and ratings for Trump Approved™ candidates. This is very risky, though, so he has to do this right, because he could end up giving Democrats more power, if that could even be possible. Why?

Sorry, but I don't even see the point anymore. The AMATEUR who REFUSED to do ANYTHING about securing his OWN re-election BLEW it for ALL of us. And now he wants to make a NEW party? After all, and against all I listed above?

I’ve already said it. This was the final straw for me, after being a lifelong Republican for 40+ years.
Won’t do any good no matter what the 74 million people do. There is no reason any more to vote for anything anywhere since our opposition has SCOTUS permission to print, fill out, and submit any and all ballots they need to overturn any election results.
Our country died January 6, 2021, when Pence stabbed Trump and all 74 million supporters right in their backs.
I will not ever vote again in any election at any level.

Ummm, Lou, many of us are way past that point. I exited the GOP back in 2015 and went to the American Constitution Party. Would switch to another party if I saw it as being equally (or more) conservative.

As far as this family and many of our close friends are concerned the Patriot Party is our new political home as soon as it is formed.
I hope we have finally learned. Still, in two years, I suspect some will say “hey we can’t let a D win gotta vote for the R anyway.”

Same here and I have been a college Republician president and faculty adviser as well as an election day worker. I am on the verge of registering as unenrolled (Maine) and dropping my Republican registration.
I have also worn out shoes helping to elect Republicans over the past 50 years.
No wonder they want Trump impeached in order to smother this movement by taking away his right to hold office again. I’m not too sure if the crooked courts will rule against this post facto coup.
