A Florida bank announced on Thursday that they have closed President Donald Trump’s bank accounts.

Trump’s money-market accounts at Banks United held between $5.1 million and $25.2 million, according to his financial disclosures.

We no longer have any depository relationship with him,” Banks United told the Washington Post.

Professional Bank also announced that they will no longer be doing business with the former president or his organizations in a statement last week.

Additionally, Signature Bank in New York and Deutsche Bank have also said that they have cut ties with Trump and his businesses.

“Signature Bank notably took a strong stance against Trump and his allies in congress, calling for him to resign and saying they would not conduct business with lawmakers who had objected to certifying the presidential election,”

He could open his own bank and drive them out of business.

The Feds might not do anything but at least the states that have these Branches in them can still investigate. Watch Florida get involved with Banks United! States also have some say in how the banks are run and can initiate investigations. The states have a duty because if the banks get away with doing this to Trump then they can do it to any of their citizens. I’ll bet they won’t try it in Texas.

“For one thing, is there no privacy violation here?”

Exactly. If the Bank released confidential information (bank balances) I would sue them into dust!

It’s total discrimination based on similarly situated persons.

Giant civil rights issue. Tens of millions in compensation.

He could start his own bank.

That's actually not a bad idea. He'd likely have 80 million depositors in a short time. Then issue a credit card and build onto that along with a service like Paypal.

Horrible and totally unjustified conduct.’
We know a fellow with a 840 credit rating who a big bank (Kapital Uno) cancelled his credit card without any notice or reason (other than “you aren’t running up balances like we want”). He happens to meet a lot of people in his trade. He advises that so far he has told over 6,000 people how his bank revoked his credit and refused to reinstate it for him.
So that is about 6,000 people who now rip up and throw out the bank’s advertisements.
And we are seeing millions of people leave Facebuck and Tweeter for similar unjustified behavior against innocent customers.
Come to think of it, I quit my Tarjet shopping when their credit card refused to approve my purchase of a little $69 vacuum cleaner (because it would have run my balance up over their approved limit for my account... which they’d reduced without any reason or notice whatsoever to just $100 or so. Ridiculous considering my perfect payment record and yes, I too have a superduper credit score. It was embarrassing being told my credit was “declined” when everyone could see it was such a small attempted purchase.
And we have witnessed millions of people stop patronizing stores (including Tar-jet) which allow or encourage grown men to hang around in the little girls’ rooms.

Honestly, I cannot recall business managers destroying their stores, trades, brands like this anytime “in the old days!”

These stores need some smarter managers!

Nah, Democrat socialists will overstep and the pendulum will reverse. I think there unity will lapse as AOC and her ilk won't accept moderates and old-school Democrats.

Not to be left out, I hope the Republican party tears itself apart and boots the Never Trumpers, GOPe, and RINOs. Not hopeful but I do think there will be a struggle for power. Will Trump participate or walkaway? Will Trump create a 3rd party?

I think the next 2-4 years may be very interesting and unsettled.

I could see regulators in Florida who might take it on. This is blatant political persecution and has nothing to do with financial decisions.

I wonder if these people realize how much hatred towards themselves they are building up among the plebes? I guess they figure they’re so powerful that it doesn’t matter. With the stolen election, they may be right. But it will come back to bite them somehow.

this is the economic/financial boycott strategy that they intend to use against us.

A State credit union or bank WILL NOT be robust against this because they need access to Fedwire or CHIPs. CHIPs is actually a private company.

If your bank or credit union uses CHIPs (there is no alternative) they can be cut off just like Parler was from AMZN cloud.

This is a huge wakeup call for conservatives on our dependency on enemy controlled institutions.

And it looks like Biden is destroying what’s left of this country in very short order with all the EO’s he’s signed.

Border wall construction halted, deportations halted, Keystone pipeline stopped, to name a few.

Watch gas prices go through the roof, along with the cost of goods and food due to transportation costs.

We still have a very narrow window in which to get a few things done, but I fear the window of opportunity is very rapidly closing.

I look for the birth-pains to start coming harder and faster now. We've about 6-7 years left for mankind to govern.

It would be a shame if Barney Frank ever objected to the Electoral College vote while he was in the House. It would probably end his tenure on the Board and open the bank to all sorts of lawsuits.
