However sophistated it may be, for those of us with open eyes, it's very difficult not to arrive at the conclusion that we are living through a coup d'etat.
It's breathtaking to consider the full scope of it. Fixing the exact starting point may be somewhat difficult, but the infamous January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting is probably as good as any. It would literally take a hefty book to recount the whole thing subsequent from there (and will I'm sure, presuming said book could be published), but you all know the basic outlines: #NeverTrump fragging, false charges of treason with Russia, use of "ballot harvesting" to take the House in 2018, Deep State leakers and turncoats buried throughout government, 24-7 negative media coverage on all channels, impeachment without a crime, the "plandemic", suppression polls, social media censorship, midnight ballot dumps, hacked voting machines, three SCOTUS cowards and a traitor, and finally, the outright unpersonning of anyone who dares to publicly question any of it, starting but certainly not ending with the ability to access the Internet.
America is certainly very unique, and this kind of coup is somewhat, but not entirely (see: Ukraine, 2014), without precedent, so it's hard to know where it all might end up. But looking at the 50-70+ years of uninterrupted Communist rule in the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, and Cuba, and really uninterrupted centuries of other kinds of tyranny all over the world and history, it doesn't seem likely that were we to lose our republic as seems likely in eight days, we will gain it back anytime soon. Maybe we lost it long ago, and it's just a lot more obvious now. Who knows?
So tip one back for the American Republic on January 19. It was good while it lasted, but nothing lasts forever.
No doubt. Just starting to wonder if Trump accepted a role. Has he said or done anything of note regarding Parler yet? Twitter emasculated him in the end, I hate to say, after he was so invested in them for some reason.

It won't stop with conservatives being barred from communications. The actions of these tech oligarchs aren't ends in and of themselves, but rather the first step toward something far more sinister. They are openly proclaiming their intentions for conservatives to be economically cutoff, socially expelled, and perhaps eventually physically incarcerated.
However, I suspect that they must be scarred of something happening that could turn all of this around. Otherwise they would have taken their time, enjoyed their victory parties, and waited until January 20th to make their move. All of these preemptive strikes and plans for invoking the 25th amendment and impeachment don't make any sense unless there was something they feared would happen to prevent their victory.
Anyone who has not read Orwell's "1984" (or at least see the movie), needs to do so now.
Uniqueness is binary.
There are no degrees of uniqueness.
Trump never ran a business where his people were actively trying to make the business fail. He expected his opposition to be evil, but that treason from inside is one thing that I don’t think he was prepared for.
I don't know anything about Parler or Twitter except that I don't use either one.
I like the coup that has the word ‘’de ville’’’ after it.
Let me correct that: "We haven't even begun to rebel." was what I meant to write. They call what is happening now rebellion? What a joke. They allow Anti-fa and BLM to destroy things and assault poeple and then want to point fingers at us? It was primarily instigators at the Capitol who deliberately tried t make it look like Trump supporters were the perpetrators of the break-in.
