Earlier today on my radio show I spoke with Parler CPO Amy Peikoff on Big Tech’s combined efforts to run Parler off of the Internet. Watch the simulcast from The First:

And they already lost.
Tried to sign up for Gab with no success
Stalin would be so very proud of his useful idiots.
I have been unable to use it, mostly because I assume the site is simply overwhelmed.
So when Netflix debuted the vile documentary “Cuties” and got a bunch of blowback about pedophilia and such that didn’t go against AWS terms of service? Why wasn’t Netflix thrown off or suspended from AWS?
You would think they could at least have an html placeholder page up by now. Do they not even have control of their own domain name? All it would take is some cheap temporary hosting. Go to the domain name provider, which looks to be epik.com by doing a whois, aim the domain nameservers to the temp hosting and put a page up saying We’ll be back.
What a mess.
Gab’s up and down. Works nice and fast one minute and then won’t load the next
get ready for war bitches
That is an excellent interview. Thanks for posting that.
Amy Peikoff, Parler Chief Policy Officer, is one smart woman and articulate (as is Dana Loesch). I’m glad they are both fighting for freedom.
I tried several times to sign up for Gab yesterday and kept getting error messages including that my UN was already taken so I tried various alternatives and I was always told I would receive a verification email. which never happened so I gave up for awhile. Much to my surprise when I went to Gab today, I already had an account under one of the UN alternatives, I had never received any verification instructions and yet there I was. I’ll take it, but things are not working as planned.
MeWe, Gab, CloutHub are all getting slammed with new registrations. Parler was having the same problem before they got taken down.
People here are always saying fb/twitter are private companies. If you don’t like what they’re doing, build your own. Guess that’s not as simple as it sounds. The four networks above couldn’t handle the small percentage of fb/twitter users who made the switch to them.
Count on the dems to come up with some legislation or misuse some existing apparatus to go after the four above networks during the next four years and probably FR too. They’ll selectively cite hate speech just like fb/twitter do on their platforms. They’ll label conservatives that run these sites as terrorists and anti-terrorism laws allow them to do anything, including taking down entire websites at will.
I see this as the future; https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3924224/posts?page=33#33
Distributed Social Networks. 1,000 people running 1,000 servers, each having 1,000 users totaling 1,000,000 users with all 1,000 networks able to interact with each other. See the image on that post for a visualization. Redundancy and resilience.
Now that Amazon has shut down Parler’s servers and taking Parler offline, Amazon has violated Free Speech.
I would avoid buying from them, you can find the same products elsewhere.
I’ve rarely bought anything from Amazon because of the illegal way they have run small competitors out of business for years - Jeff Bezos is a scumbag.

BIG TECH must be worried. Why all the scrambling to scramble?
