Roughly one in every fifteen Americans have now tested positive for the novel coronavirus, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

Over the past weekend, the United States surpassed twenty-two million cases and 370,000 related deaths—both figures by far the highest among all countries.

Health officials, however, are anticipating even darker days ahead despite the surge in cases and fatalities in recent weeks.

Good, because exposure leads to immunity; the way human response to every virus operates over the millennia.

In fact, the report of more transmissible strains of Covid are likely due to the lockdowns. Lockdown the population, and the less transmissible trains are selected out, leaving the more transmissible strains. In the meantime, having locked up the population, the vast majority of people have had no chance to be exposed and build immunity to the less transmissible strain, which would provide protection from the more transmissible strain.

The "experts" have made things worse by attempting to control something which is inherently not controllable.

My wife had surgery 3 weeks ago, and our fear was the same as yours, the Corona test, she passed it.

Surgeon has had to cut his number of surgeries to 40%, and our other worry was that her situation wasn’t serious enough to warrant surgery. Fortunately it was.

I don’t know about one in every 15 but I do know that six of my friends and their families have all come down with the China virus in the last 3 weeks. It sort of feels like the news is tightening around my own neck.

According to my data, which I have been collecting from the Johns Hopkins website daily since March, in the US there are currently 13.2 million active cases, with 1 in 25 people currently infected.

A total of 372,342 people have died so far. Abortion is the top killer, and heart disease is the second highest killer; the current daily Covid-19 death rate has frequently exceeded that of abortion since mid-November, making Covid-19 the top killer these days. Lately, the Covid-19 death rate has exceeded abortion and heart disease combined.

This report seems to be a cumulative total, not a current total.

Actually, the CDC has estimated that there were around 300,000 excess deaths in 2020 as compared to 2019.

The numbers from the CDC are provisional, since it typically takes months to collate and finalize the data. However, there is no reason to think that they will significantly change as they are finalized.

The tests were unreliable.

The reliability of the tests relies on several factors.

First of all, serological tests to determine if a person has been exposed are all but useless, given that antibodies do not distinguish well between similar viruses, and we all have been exposed to coronaviruses. About all the serological tests can show is how the immune system is responding following a coronavirus exposure.

PCR tests are far more reliable for accurately detecting the presence of Covid-19 RNA. However, PCR tests can give false positives if care is not taken to prevent cross-contamination with Covid-19 RNA that may be present in the environment during sample collection. (I used to test for Ebola RNA; in one lab, every sample I ran was positive due to environmental contamination.) Also, PCR tests cannot distinguish between active virus and dead virus.

A viral culture test will show whether a person has an active infection. The virus must still be positively identified through RT-PCR for the test to conclusively show infection with Covid-19.

I think that diagnoses are made based on symptoms and test results.

Since the so-called test, which the inventor said should NOT be used in this manner as a screening test, is extremely likely to give a false-positive when the cycle count is over 25-30 (Note: 2 to the 30th power is a billion and 2 to the 40th power is about 1 trillion), we will never know how many people actually have the COVID virus. How many people have the virus and actually got sick? Also, they never have the so-called case count go down as you would expect, It constantly rises as a cumulative count for fear purposes. Not to deny that some people get sick and some die with it, why destroy the economy of the world?

That two weeks of shutdown to bend the curve worked!

The shutdowns do work. During the initial shutdowns, new cases dropped daily and we were on track to eliminate Covid-19. But then, the BLM rioters caused new cases to surge. At the same time, there was a nationwide effort to spread conspiracies about Covid-19 and cause people not to take it seriously. Even now, case growth slows when more stringent measures are implemented to curb the spread of Covid-19. Any efforts to control Covid-19 spread are, however, derailed by the number of people who pull their masks down below their nose--the people who refuse to take Covid-19 seriously even though it is now the #1 killer of Americans.

Wonder how many of those tests are false positives? Is that even tracked?

So something like 22 million (1/15th of 330 million) have tested positive at some point, and over 9 million have already received their first vaccination.

So conservatively, at least that many will be immune (about 10% of the population).

How many had a pre-existing cross-immunity from similar coronaviruses in the past, or were asymptomatically exposed to COVID-19, or got over their symptomatic infection without being tested? Likely significantly large numbers.

Vaccination seems to have ramped up to around 3/4 million per day, and is still accelerating.

Herd immunity is on the way, and the targeted nature of the vaccination program will achieve the Public Health concerns of lowering mortality and slowing spread, even more efficiently that naturally occurring herd immunity.

In a month or two, the hospital COVID wards will be emptying out. The rest will be mopping up.

Herd immunity is about to happen and then the tyranny by falsehood will continue to be tyranny.

In order for us to reach herd immunity, over 60% of the population must become immune. We are far from that number. At this point, 6.8% of the population has been infected, and the immunity rate is lower due to both deaths and the waning of immunity in those who survived their first infections. In order to reach 60% immunity, over 200 million people must become infected with Covid-19, and 3 to 4 million people will die.

Regarding the death rate: wonder how many of those deaths were a result of dying “from” the China Virus and how many were a result of dying “with” the virus.

There’s a huge difference between dying from the virus and dying from some other cause while you had the virus.

A shame the powers that be won’t release these figures. Would be most enlightening.

I've been doing okay, thanks for asking.

Honestly, the reason I haven't posted much is that I've been angry and frustrated at the number of people who completely fell for the lies that Covid-19 is not serious. I think that those lies are a major factor in our imminent slide into Communism. Biden sure used the conspiracies to make the case that Trump and his supporters are a bunch of ignorant buffoons. These days, for the sake of my health, I am mostly avoiding FR and any kind of news.
