Florida is doing very well health-wise and its economy is coming back. Not the news the left wants to hear.

Truth. I’m an RN in a Florida hospital. We are NOT overloaded. Not even close. Nowhere near as many covid patients as we had in the initial wave months ago, and far fewer critically-ill ones.

Does Florida have a better handle on controlling illegal alien entry than California? There has been talk of illegal aliens driving the high number of cases here (especially admittance to emergency rooms). If so, for the legal population most of the hysteria is unfounded (except for the elderly and people with comorbidities) and people can and should return to their normal lives.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Florida is known as the "Sunshine State." One of the big things about sunshine is that when a person is out in the sun, his or her body builds Vitamin D; 30 minutes of midday summer sun exposure in Oslo, Norway was equivalent to consuming 10,000–20,000 IU of vitamin D, according to a published study from across the pond.

Some recent studies posted on FR show that the worst COVID-19 cases have low levels of this vitamin in their body. What do nursing home patients and imprisoned convicts have in common? Limited unfiltered exposure to sunlight.

Significant? You tell me.

New York has people squashed into high-rises, to the point that the sun is hidden from most sidewalks...and doesn't get into the subway at all. Low D, high "cases" and ICU occupancy.

I don't understand about California, though. Is it because so many of the propeller-beanie-wearing people never get outside, because they are too busy being hunched over their computers? (Not to mention that the glare of sunshine would wash out their laptop and tablet screens.)

For me, I'm increasing my D intake from 2000 IU/day to 5000 IU/day. Following the science, I am.

A friend flew from DC to Tampa, FL the other day. As her plan touched down the entire cabin erupted in applause, because they had landed in “free America”.

Hey, I live in Florida.
Go to my little job and fulfill my duties with Loads of folks coming and going.
Go to a brewpub with loads of folks.
Wear a mask in public. Don’t go into a store without a mask.
Pretty simple, even the stoopids in N.J., N.Y., Penn., and even the serious fools in Georgia and Michigan can understand these very simple rules to follow,
In spite of your Governors believing you are too stoopid to do such
Oh Well.
