Here Come GOP Members of Pennsylvania Legislature Making Moves Concerning the Electors
Red State ^ | 11/28/2020 | Nick Arama

We brought you the news here and here of how State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-York) had organized a committee hearing into election integrity and heard from multiple witnesses with some stunning testimony about alleged election fraud and irregularities. President Donald Trump even called into the hearing and thanked people from coming forward. Then after that, Twitter suspended Mastriano’s personal account.

Now, Mastriano is dropping more news. Mastriano was appearing on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast when he announced that he and other senators would introducing a resolution calling to withdraw the Secretary of State’s certification of the election and the slate of electors.

🚨BREAKING: While on Steve Bannon's War Room, @dougmastriano announces the PA legislature will draft a joint resolution to take back power from the Secretary of State in the appointment of presidential electors.

According to Penn Live, 26 Republicans did in fact formally announce they in fact were introducing such a resolution.

Citing what they described as election law compromises, irregularities and improprieties associated with mail-in balloting, pre-canvassing, and canvassing, the 26 lawmakers stated in a news release issued late Friday afternoon the issues raised about the election has “undermined our elector process and as a result we can not accept certification of the results in statewide races.” [….]

Concerns about the fairness and integrity of the election that the group of lawmakers raise in some of the 21 clauses in their resolution are similar to arguments raised by President Donald Trump’s legal team during a Senate Majority Policy Committee meeting on Wednesday.

“It is absolutely imperative that we take these steps if we are to ensure public trust in our electoral system. Faith in government begins with faith in the elections which select that government,” the House GOP members’ news release states. “Just as Pennsylvania led the founding of our nation, Pennsylvania should also lead the way by making sure our commonwealth continues to stand as a keystone in our nation where free and fair elections are of paramount concern, no matter the final outcome of those elections.”

Currently the process in Pennsylvania is that each of the parties picks a slate of electors that is then chosen when the Secretary of State certifies the election.

But the Constitution provides that the state legislatures can decide how electors are appointed. There’s also a federal statute that allows the legislature to decide how the electors will be appointed if they believe that they have failed to make a clear choice.

But it’s not clear how much gas this effort has, because the House Speaker and the House Majority Leader don’t appear to be involved in it, according to Penn Live.

But it looks like there’s going to be a similar hearing and look into election integrity in Arizona as well, according to Jenna Ellis, who is part of the president’s legal team.

🚨🚨🚨Arizona State Legislature to hold hearing on election integrity Monday, November 30. Mayor @RudyGiuliani and I will be present on behalf of President @realDonaldTrump.

Someone wrote last night I think several states will wait to see who is first. Will the Pennsylvania were actually overthrow the corrupt election results? Are they prepared for the consequences? The wrath of those corrupt liberal voters?

Ah. So it's symbolic and won't go anywhere. Great.

Why isn’t Mr Biden being asked to concede for the good of the country?

Look man, they had to have practically everyone involved or playing supporting roles, poll workers, about the whole chain of command in some instances, politicians, programmers, media, foreigners, registered and unregistered voters, check writers, check takers, the list probably goes on and on, some involved for days, weeks, months, years in the planning and then carrying it out to try to win an election.

Prediction. If Trump wins Pennsylvania the GOP will keep Toomey’s seat and take the Governorship. Trump loses and the state goes deep blue(surrender). no fight left.

There’s big election fraud and there is a lot people involved, and the media sat there all nite reporting and then claiming there’s 100% no fraud. The names of the players big and small are going to start coming out with what they done in their role whether it was naively following the crowd or blatantly sabotaging the vote. Some of it is obvious and on record probably seen in news footage and some of it will have to be investigated further including the trying to hide the trail.

I hope they are able to connect the dots to figure out who is responsible for the fraud.

They'd BETTER get involved.

The life of the national Republican Party is on the line.

I'll never vote for another Republican again if they surrender-monkey over this.

And I'll do my best to ridicule ANYONE voting for a RepubliGimp in the future.

Fun fact:
In 1876, newly admitted Colorado became the last state whose legislature chose electors on its own.

Don’t most states now have state laws addressing electors? Has anyone read PA’s (or other states) election code regarding this?

Then there’s the low-level players. Paid. Believers but not too when facing legal trouble. Find a way to make them sing like a bird.

Article:

"But it’s not clear how much gas this effort has ...

Your take:

"Ah. So it's symbolic and won't go anywhere. Great."

The two do not equal each other - don't logically connect. You had to add a serious hidden dose of negativity to turn the first into the second.

If you were in my company, I'd fire you on the spot.

I pity you if this is sincere and this is a mental and spiritual habit that has been your companion through life. Get rid of it, it's not only non-productive and is an infectious disease for others with similar spiritual commodities, it's not even 'negative but logical.'

Spare me your pity. You show me a case where an 'effort' in the legislature at any level that doesn't have support of the majority leader or the speaker amounts to anything. Better yet, an 'effort' that will require them to be courageous and take a bold stand. Who's going to whip the votes? Who's going to schedule it for a vote? Who's going to bend arms? Or rather, if they don't support it which way do you think they are bending arms? This is how these things work. It doesn't matter how many tea party conservatives there are in congress if Paul Ryan is the speaker. Same thing here.

If you run your company relying on the promises of unprecedented pricing from salesmen while knowing that their management doesn't support that pricing, well, cool, you are an optimist. Good for you.

Our Michigan Republican Speaker and Senate Leader are poo-pooing the recall petition of Whitmer, our Governor saying they have more important things to do in legislature.

They folded on all the fraud in Wayne, Detroit.

Wait'll they get a load of all the conservatives NOT showing up to vote for them in 2022.

I should look into how many seats at the state level they'd lose because of a 10-15% divot in their base turnout...

Pennsylvanian Senator Doug Mastriano is retired military and is leading the fight in PA.

He has said there are many RINOs in PA legislature who just want to "move on" but he is forcing this vote so they will have to go on record as "yes" or "no."

Impeach/primary the RINO traitors in PA if they vote no.
