The Death Star Strategy: Is Trump Contemplating the Ultimate Constitutional Trick Shot?

....One possibility: to raise sweeping allegations with insufficient time to resolve them in order to force an Electoral College fight. The idea would be to give license to Republican-controlled legislatures to intervene with their own sets of electors or block the submission of any set of electors. Concern over such a strategy was magnified when Trump called key Republican leaders from Michigan’s legislature to the White House on Friday.

Call it the “Death Star strategy.”

...For Trump to pull off a similar maneuver, he would need the cooperation of Republican state legislators. He also would face collateral litigation over who should certify electors — a state’s governor or its legislature. In Bush v. Gore in 2000, the Supreme Court ordered an effective halt to further litigation, but that was just one state. It is possible that such multistate litigation could push the challenges beyond the end of the safe-harbor period for certification on Dec. 8 or beyond Dec. 23, when those votes are supposed to be submitted to Congress. Indeed, it could force a fight on Jan. 6, when Congress gathers in joint session to count the votes....

I hope Justice Kavanaugh remembers what Democrats did to him in his confirmation hearing. Justice Thomas will remember what Biden put him through. Need 3 more votes.

I’ve read Professor Turley’s article and I like Professor Turley because usually he’s “trying” to not lean one way or another which is a luxury law school professors have because their cahones are never on chopping block in a courtroom.

I’ve been on the line in multi million dollar disputes and I can tell you that when you are finally, finally get to the courtroom and face a jury your overwhelming instinct is to RUN! This is because effectively, it’s a coin toss, the jury could rule for you or rule against you. A ruling against you could ruin your life.

So, I’m thinking it ALL is going to boil down AS USUAL. One side is going to evaluate the other sides case (evidence) and if their stomach doesn’t throw up on them they might find the courage to continue through a verdict. But over 90% of the time one side gives up. If Sydney Powell has the evidence she says she’s got, Biden and his inner circle of criminals will give up for a pardon. It’s simple as that, in my opinion. Prime example, look at Bernie Sanders, he’s given up twice and was paid millions in cash and houses and god knows what.

There are far too many compromised RINOS in state legislatures to rely on this.

Those compromised RINOS better exam their souls and ask where their sorry asses will be when Joe and the Ho take over.

Actually, if the scotus rules for trumps challenge there is a point in time to which the court can revert in order to disqualify suspect ballots. When the command came from ‘someone’ to stop counting in the states of WI, MI, PA, GA, AZ, and NV, when that command was issued thereafter ALL ballots are suspect and should be disqualified. Whomever was ahead at that moment the couting stopped is the winner of that state’s electors. Then, a few weeks later, Sidney Powell exposes the seditionists and traitors and trials begin.

She "exposed" them in a press conference. She has yet to file a single lawsuit. When she does, I'll pay attention.

Well, Debbie downer, she is filing her first this week, in Georgia. Stay tuned, your negativity will be needed by your leftist comrades. When Sidney makes a move she doesn’t tiptoe, she charges guns ablazin’, which is going to be real entertainment!

The pirate Roberts is an owned little man. He is without integrity, a puppet dangling from globalists’ strings, dancing to whatever tune his masters direct.

The USSC wouldn’t say that, they would say that the vote totals were compromised by those illegal votes, and reverse certification, then put the actual decision to the legislature of those states. They won’t make that decision themselves, too political.

Id she does her usual, she will do great, and may just save this Constitutional Republic for a few more years. If that unfolds, I’ll buy you a beer.

SC in 2000 said to stop counting; at what point did it order a particular slate of electors to be sent?

So far Lin Wood and Sibel are Han Solo.

Giuliani is Obi Juan Kanobi.

Who asserts that they did? I am referring to a remedy. The natural point for remedy is when ‘someone’ ordered the counting to stop and the ancillary actions that followed. That point can be reverted to to disqualify ALL ballots counted thereafter as too suspect to include in the counts. That would be a remedy without ordering any state to select a particular elector disposition.

One Senator and one Governor object to electoral certification in the House on 1/06 and the whole thing gets thrown to the House with each state having one vote, right?

I can agree with you on Obi Wan Kenobi.

But Han Solo was a selfish rogue for much of the movie, and Lin Wood is neither selfish nor a rogue.

I don’t know who Sibel is.

The Han Solo in this drama is someone who unexpectedly going to do the right thing in the end.

John Roberts?

Kagan?

Yep! These fools will get rid of Trump and their parties future in one shot by not sticking up for election integrity! Death Star analogy would be correct if Luke (played by Trump) was being chased and shot at by tie and X-wing fighters
