She the “the only one” who can try someone for treason?

I appreciate that is not the intent of the writer, but the wording is dramatic. Every writer is jacking up their word valence in an attempt to be heard over the noise.

Some of these stories are just over the top.

In any event, none of these crimes fit the definition of treason as we haven’t been at “war” since the last 1940’s. The term is sedition. Or Conspiracy. But not Treason.

A military Lawyer is in the military.

These are strong and vividly colorful words from a serious, well seasoned Military Attorney who just won’t roll over and allow the media to drag her reputation through the mud. She is chomping at the bit to get on with the real justice and that is the days in court. Be it the Supreme Court or before the Military Tribunal.

Being registered as a Military Lawyer does not make you a Military Prosecutor. This just means she is just able to provide a defense to someone who is being prosecuted under the UMCJ.

The first thing that comes to mind is perhaps she would be the only one allowed to view the evidence from the servers.

That evidence does appear to have been gathered by members of the armed forces.

Those details are (rightly so) not yet publicly available.

It would also allow the "S.P. is not part of the Trump Legal Team" announcement to start making sense.
