President Donald Trump’s legal team distanced themselves from attorney Sidney Powell on Sunday evening, noting that she did not represent the president, either as part of the team or in his personal capacity.
In a statement attributed to Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Trump legal adviser Jenna Ellis, the team said: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
Gen. Michael Flynn, a former Trump administration official, said lawyer Sidney Powell is “staying the course” and will prove election fraud after the president’s legal team said she is not working for the campaign on Sunday night.
Powell, who represented Flynn in his legal case, “has been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours,” he wrote on Twitter after former New York Mayor and campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani made the statement about her status.
“She understands the WH press release & agrees with it,” Flynn said. “She is staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed #WeThePeople of our votes for President Trump & other Republican candidates.”
Powell herself responded by releasing a statement saying that she will continue to represent the “#WeThePeople” — and adding at the end of her statement the hashtag “#KrakenOnSteroids.”
Powell appeared undeterred after the Trump Legal Team distanced themselves from her, while pledging to continue fighting against what she alleges of widespread voter fraud occurring during the 2020 election due to the vote-counting machines. Powell has so far failed to provide any evidence backing her claims.
“I understand today’s press release,” Powell told CBS News. “I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon. The chips will fall where they may, and we will defend the foundations of this great Republic. #KrakenOnSteroids” Image below:
While it is not clear why Powell’s account was reportedly suspended, a number of Powell’s recent tweets have gotten tagged with Twitter’s warning label, “This claim about election fraud is disputed,” which the social media company has previously used to suspend or ban accounts for repeated violations.
Lin Wood also tweeted: Sidney Powel & I are more alike than we are different.
We are fighting different legal battles for the same clients – We The People.
The People voted overwhelmingly to re-elect President Trump.
All interests are aligned.

I seriously need to get my heart checked. This has so many of us all over the place, scared of what may be to come if Trump loses. Keeping the faith is proving difficult when the legal team keeps throwing curveballs

This election challenge is quickly becoming an embarrassment.
I am to the point I think the Trump team is like the gang that can’t shoot straight. This whole thing was fowled up from before the election with all these rallies, running around like a chicken with his head cut off! Did not have teams of lawyers on the ground filing suits, waking up judges, etc the moment the polls closed in these questionable States. He had been jawboning this for months and not even ready in end! Thinking he bought into his own hype.

She would have to separate from Trump if she’s going after both corrupt Republicans that have been in office because of dominion.

The Trump legal team made a mistake by having her appear in an official press conference with them. They needed to correct that. Otherwise, the other side would demand the cases be linked.
By keeping them separate, they can represent two different entities in the courts....The People and President Trump!

She may have overstepped her bounds when she claimed the Gov was bribed. Better be able to prove that charge even if it is true.
I don’t buy that. The only reasons I can justify are
1 (good) Her money has to be kept separate (she set up a website for donations);
2 (bad) Like Uriah, she has been pushed up to where the battle is hottest and the rest of the troops have backed away.

She has talked repeatedly about R’s and D’s screwing the American people, while Giuliani has always been focused on Trump’s case.
