Yesterday DeWine gave an emergency address to the state. Essentially declaring war on small business.
All businesses will have to post mandatory mask wearing signs on their public entrances. It is the responsibility of the business to make sure employees and customers are wearing masks at all times. First offense is warning, then fine, then closure.
He announced the creation of the retail compliance board. Brown shirts that will be enforcing this.
In addition, he said he will make a decision on what to do about restaraunts, bars, etc in one week depending on how things are going. Obviously in a week they will be worse which means the final blow to restaraunts, bars, gyms, etc.
I believe this will be met with massive protests. There is zero appetite for this crap in this red state...especially with what is going on with the election.
I still don’t understand how Governors got appointed dictators. They don’t seem to feel the state legislatures have a role here. The Governor is just passing laws that cripple businesses because, you know, it seems like a good idea to him.
Yeah. I think it’s going to be an end to bars and restaurants. Many have been teetering anyway. He’s going to kill off the sector entirely. God totalitarianism sucks.

I’m not ready to make an assertion, but this wave of COVID *may* be peaking.
It is down in Europe in the past week.
US new infections this week are way up from last week but unlike past weeks, Wednesday’s infections did not rise substantially from Tuesday.
That *might* be the first sign of a break.
Watching today for confirmation.
The dirty truth is that the various state legislatures are quiet content to let their governors dictate under the use of emergency powers. It absolves them of responsibility and blame.

I am not happy! I will have officially lost every seasonal holiday income this year. Oh...and we’re all supposed to go find a job this time? Pissed.
We're getting that s*it even here in OK. Gov. Stitt is haranguing people to "wear your mask, wear your mask, wear your mask", and warning that our hospitals are "in danger of being overrun" by the "influx" of alleged Covid admissions.
He has no empirical evidence or independent research to back that crap up. But a doctor at one of the Integris Hospitals here TOLD him it was happening, so he quotes it as if Jesus Christ had spoken. He really has turned out to be NOT the brave soul I initially thought he was, but just another cardboard cutout.
All across the country, the dictators need to face rebellious, armed, protestors. If we don’t fight now, we are going to be turned into fearful, oppressed, slaves.

There's no "hiding" from it with lockdowns ... it doesn't "go away" while we're in hiding ... it just sits there waiting for us to crawl out from our homes and basements. Masks, distancing and all of the many, many other restrictions have not done anything -- nothing at all -- to "stop the spread". Although widely mandated and widely applied, these society-crushing, economy - destroying actions haven't worked over the past eight months, they're not working now and they won't work in the future no matter how much the polticians, unelected bureaucrats and, especially "The Experts", say they will work, promise they will work, want them so desperately to work and watch as they don't work.
To be precise, what we're observing -- what we are living through -- are not "new peaks" or "new waves" -- it's a virus behaving like a virus, infecting like a virus does, and progressing as a virus until either widespread immunity or an effective vaccine is developed. For all the damage our "leaders" and, of course, "The Experts" have caused by their deliberate actions, all we've been able to do since the beginning of this year is lengthen -- significantly -- the time it is taking for the virus to run its course (and of course we've learned how to effectively treat people who come down with symptoms so the effects of the virus are no worse than that of a run-of-the-mill flu.
I'm just tired of all of the lies, all of the fear mongering,, all of the destruction and all of the tyranny. Really, really tired of it all!

No, but I deal with the public every single day around COVID and I have since February.
I already admitted I could be wrong and put $50 on the line.
If there are "massive protests" (not yet defined) in Ohio over DeWine's new restrictions, I will admit I'm wrong and I will pay FR $50.
At 145 000 new cases a day, it's n more likely that there will be massive protests DEMANDING new restrictions, but, as they say in sports, that's why they play the games.
I can still string three words together, so I don't think I have Biden's disease, not yet anyway.
