Catholic voters helped elect Democratic candidate Joe Biden as the next U.S. president, as more people belonging to the denomination shrugged off an often hostile clergy and key issues like abortion rights, a recent survey found.
While President Donald Trump won support from eight out of every 10 white evangelical Christian voters, Catholics were split nearly down the middle between him and Biden, according to data from AP VoteCast. Fifty percent of Catholics backed Trump while 49 percent favored Biden.
In the 2020 election, Catholic voters accounted for a significant 22 percent of the electorate—a crucial demographic for either candidate to secure. But Biden, whom the Associated Press and other media outlets declared winner on Saturday, clearly benefited from the group.
Among white Catholics, 57 percent backed Trump and 42 percent supported Biden, VoteCast found. This is a decrease from Trump's 2016 numbers among the demographic, when he won 64 percent of their vote compared to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's 31 percent, according to a Pew Research Center analysis...

You can’t do demographic analysis on a mega fraud election.

My entire Catholic family voted for Trump. Every Catholic I know is a Trump supporter. I know of one who is a die hard lib who would never vote for a Republican of ANY religion.

I’ve long held that one cannot be a Christian and a democrat, often to be scorned for it. But it is too easy to support my position.
Don’t believe it, fake news as always. So they did a poll, who believes polls, which are consistently wrong.
Any person who says they are Catholic and who voted for Joe Biden is as Catholic as he is. The fact is that anybody who voted for Ghoul and baby-killer Joe Biden is as Catholic as he is. They are not true Catholics. They are CINOS (Catholic In Name Only). They are as evil as Biden is evil. He represents, and is leading people down an evil road, that is that he represents a political party that backs reaching into a woman’s body and killing a developing human being and calling that woman’s health care. He is a giant phoney! And an evil one at that!
Matthew 7:21-23 the Lord says what will happen to people like this. The protection of innocent human life is one of the central teachings of the church. Our priest speaks on the subject quite frequently is is always strong in his condemnation of horrible act of abortion. I have commended him for his courage in speaking out, which has probably cost him some support in the parish from those who would seek to choose which elements of the gospel they prefer to follow and which they would reject.
It is exactly this in the churches in my area that prompted my exodus from formal participation in the Catholic Church. Like Ronald Reagan said about the democrats, I did not leave the Catholic Church, the Catholic Church left me! And after 15 years in nominally Catholic educational institutions.
And yet not a single member of my Latin Mass parish anything like that. For that matter, the local regular Mass parish doesn’t have many if any of those either.

That’s OK.... over the years he’s taken a lot of heat. Never forget who had long horseback rides with the future (very young) Gen. George S. Patton, and conversations about history, war tactics, world politics. A major influence and hero of the good General.

Blissfully lacking in critical thinking and their belief/faith in supporting completely anti-Christian and anti-Catholic realities— like the extra-judicial murder of the unborn, and the reducing to worthless the societal value of a human life with all of the potential to better all of our lives. Think of them as complete opposite of the renaissance of faith, and the dark robed torturers of the past.

Well, Catholic’s DO have poor discernment. So it’s not surprising.
1) Does "White Catholics" include Hispanics, I wonder?
2) Who did this poll? The same organizations that failed to find the "shy Trump voters"?
