I Blame Paul Ryan for All This Chaos
FreeRepublic ^ | 10-29-20 | Mr. K the know it all

The biggest pain in Washington is Nancy Pelosi.

But if Paul Ryan (RINO) would have done his job, the GOP would have held the house, and nanzi pelosi would still be sidelined.

We'd be done with Obamacare, the wall would be further along, and the people would see that the world did not end with these things.

We would have seen substantial improvement.

We would not have had impeachment, endless investigations, and Pelosi on TV every day talking Trump down, like she did to Bush.

And this a$$hole is now running FOX News- and you can see how that is going down the crapper too.

I was suspicious of Paul Ryano the first time I heard Bill Bennett touting him to the moon.

Who in their right mind "retires from politics" when you are so young and also the FRICKIN' SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE ?!?!?!

Unless ... you are corrupt to the core and afraid of getting caught??

If you have to pin on one person, Ryan is a good candidate. He blocked and stymied the President for two years and then orchestrated the handover (yes, it was intentional) of the house to the dems by working out a mass retirement of safe seats, including his own. If ever you needed an example of the GOP not being what they say they are all you need to do is look at the house election in 2018 and how they gave congress to the dems so that a Republican president could be blocked without the GOPe being blamed anymore.

Exactly right! Turncoat and weasel Ryan is responsible for much of the bad things happening today. As a “good Catholic,” he should spend the rest of his days in a monastery, contemplating his dramatic failures to stand up for righteousness.

The GOP-e power is now gone and hopefully forever.

But if Paul Ryan (RINO) would have done his job, the GOP would have held the house,

Michigan lost a couple of house spots as well as the US Senate seat held by Stabenow because Republicans stayed home in 2016.....which by the way is typical during an off year election. It had nothing to do with Ryan........

I would go one step further......

How many Republicans heard or knew about the testimony from 53 (on-air liars) stating there was no proof of Russian collusion 2017? Meanwhile they threatened Trump he would be impeached (rep House majority 2017) if he fired Mueller. This continued 2 yrs.

Remember all of the rep politicians (Gowdy, Linda, etc.) making the media rounds trying to convince us that this investigation was real and necessary?

So, not only Ryan, but more than half of Rep politicians both local and federal wanted Trump gone.

Ex. of local, DeWine (OH Rep Gov) only backs Trump when convenient. Same with Mike Turner (House rep). His daughter was in the Oregon District during the mass shooting. The next day, Turner was on the gun grabbing bus. Majority of these people only care about power, not policy.

I agree McCain is a major doosh too, but Rino Ryan should have sent Trump the exact same bill they sent to Obama some 4 dozen times, to repeal Obamacare in its entirety.

Not some technical ‘changes’ to it that McCain voted against.

They held the house and the senate at the time.

The problem is that the votes for a full repeal weren't there. Too many Republicans who had voted for a full repeal did it only when they knew it wouldn't pass because Obama was President. Once Trump became President and would actually sign a full repeal into law, the RINOs chickened out, and there were no longer the votes for a clean repeal. And even if the votes had been there in the House, we know McCain would have killed that too.

The bill Ryan pushed through had a couple of poison pills in it that would have fatally undermined ObamaCare. The most important thing it did was make the subsidies the responsibilities of states, rather than making them a federal entitlement. It was the strongest bill that would pass the House.

But the Senate wouldn't pass even that, so...we got nothing.

Ryan probably wasn't the best Speaker for Trump. But if you look at the tax cuts, and the other stuff in terms of entitlements (including Obamacare) that he actually did try to do, he was set to do far more good than any Speaker since Gingrich. But RINO's in both the House and Senate, and Trump's own opposition to entitlement reform, killed those hopes.

Yes! We lost the House due to Ryan- he no doubt forced, bribed about 40 Repubs to not run again, resign and not finish term, retire, etc.

Generally, it’s best to settle matters with bad members of Congress in primaries.

Sometimes with candidates for the presidency, that’s not so easy. There’s room for only one person in the presidency. Without the Obama experience for eight years, we probably would not have Donald Trump as our President.

At the same time, we need Republican majorities in both houses for President Trump. Vote for your Republican Senator.

The Senate, by the way, is also our failsafe, if President Trump is not reelected. A Republican majority Senate would stop the firearms confiscations from happening.
