Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden posted a video message in which he says “America was an idea” that “we’ve never lived up to.”
His statement is interspersed with a notable line from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident …”
“America was an idea, an idea,” he says in the clip. “‘We hold these truths to be self-evident.'”
“We’ve never lived up to it, but we’ve never walked away from it before, and I just think we have to be more honest,” Biden continues.
“Let our kids know, as we raise them, what actually did happen,” he concludes. “Acknowledge our mistakes, so we don’t repeat them.”
It’s the kind of apology for the failures of America you would expect to hear from the more radical fringe elements of the party, not the man who wants to lead the nation for the next four years.

Well, if we try to view our history the way the hard core democRat sees it - as a failure to get as corrupted and debased as the democRats hoped for - then I guess I could see his point..
Joe is new to trashing the country. He will do/say anything he thinks will help him get elected.

I mentioned hitting Dems on fake impeachment during the beginning of the pandemic being that COVID was one of two things mentioned by that undecided voter and I81 Pa has a huge Trump Killed 200K people sign a Dem theme they are pushing.
The second issue bothering this undecided voter was bringing the country together. Time has come for the President to get the word out that he will be president of everyone on both sides and the he will do what it takes to heal the rifts between the cultural divide. I know its talk but this is politics and they need to hear this message.
If Antifa is an idea, why were early young people, caught topping statues, carrying membership cards to both the Workers World Party and Antifa?
