We westerners don’t adapt well to the oppressive humidity. When it’s above 60 degrees, the humidity needs to be below 20% or we melt and die.
At 92 degrees and 94% humidity, we are already dead and decaying rapidly.
To each his own. I’m no big fan of humidity either, but I can’t deal with the cold ocean, gloomy fog burning off all the time when it should be sunny, and the effing liberals that people have allowed to have unfettered power there.
We have problems here too, but all things considered, I’ll take ours.

I grew up in New England: hot, humid, buggy summers, and cold, wet, looong miserable winters. The spectacular Central Oregon Coast has been my home for 15 years, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
