A 25-year-old man was sentenced to 60 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Tomball on Jan. 21, 2018, according to Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg.
Glenis Dionicio Cordova-Lopez, also known as Fernando Lopez a Mexican immigrant, was sentenced Monday for aggravated assault of a child.
He heard his sentence on Monday, October 12, 2020, by Judge Kelli Johnson, of the 178th Criminal District Court, in Harris County in Houston.
I want to thank the first Harris County jury since COVID began for showing up, listening to the testimony, reviewing all the evidence, and finding a sexual predator guilty, Ogg said. I am glad his victim knows that she was believed and that he will serve a long prison sentence for his crimes against her. The 60 years he received is still not as long as the lifetime pain she will face as a result of his brutality.
Cordova-Lopez attacked the girl while staying with the girls family in Tomball, prosecutors said. The girl reported the assault to family members and was taken to Texas Childrens Hospital where she was examined, according to prosecutors.
A witness saw Cordova-Lopez come out of the girls room around midnight. The next day, the girl told family members she was attacked and was in pain, and she was taken to Childrens Memorial Hermann Hospital for an examination that revealed she had been raped.
In order to protect the integrity and privacy of the victim and his family, Judge Johnson decided that most of the legal documents cannot be consulted publicly due to the seriousness of the case.
The arrest warrant details that the victims family received Córdova-López in their home, since the man is an immigrant from Mexico. How he met the family is not detailed.
Hang the SOB.
Every Biden supporter should allow illegals to stay in their homes.. oh wait
60 years of free room and board—and that is punishment? All on the backs of taxpayers....
It’s like throwing a mad dog into the baby’s crib! WHAT were these parents even THINKING?
That kid needs to sue her parents, for Pete’s Sake!
A length of rope, and a tall tree is much cheaper than 3 hots, and a cot for 60 years.
And he lived?
I wonder where all the compassion is now. We’ll see if there is any for this little girl. https://freerepublic.com/focus/backroom/3892303/posts?page=24
When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best
YES! They need something!
Maybe he was escaping from the Mexican police for doing a crime just like this one back in Mexico. I don’t understand why our bleeding heart liberals can’t believe that many people coming from Mexico are criminals on the run. If you were a criminal in Mexico would you be sticking around waiting to get arrested or would you escape up here where the police don’t know you and you can go from city to city and state to state—getting lost in a huge country. As Biden would say...”oh, come on man!”
This is one of the guys Trump was talking about that day in 2015, when he came down the golden escalator and announced his candidacy.
So, they invited the Incubus into their home. Like inviting a vampire into your home.
I agree.
According to the media, there is no such thing as “Mexican rapists.” It’s just something the racist Trump made up.
Mexican males are sexual deviants.
He came looking for a better life./s
“When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best”
That is the most noticeable change in immigration today versus 100 years ago; this country used to attract the best & brightest from around the world and it contributed immensely to us, and now we lure people here as consumers instead of contributors. The worst business environments in this country have to keep the lights on by importing foreigners who have little to offer except filling housing, public school classrooms, and Wal-Mart aisles - with all of the bills footed by the American taxpayers.
