In just less than 20 minutes it will be 200 days since the institution of the infamous Flattening the Curve. Two weeks, they told us, for two weeks we need to work from home, close non-essential business, cancel concerts, baby showers, bingo games, etc., yada, yada, you know the thing (to show my solidarity with a certain presidential candidate) in order to give hospitals a chance to gear up for huge, terrible, overwhelming waves of rona patients.
Two weeks.
Instead, two weeks has become 200 days. We can argue as to the exact start date of the implementation of Operation Curve Flattening. I am punctuating it from the first day I began working from home per the guidelines in my state. I am still working from home. What do I think of working from home? Well, I Nevermind.
I digress.
Yeah, some states have more or less gotten back to normal, I guess. A couple states were always normal. But the vast majority of states are still in some state of bizarro world. Flattening the curve, I have come to realize, is really about flattening the IQ bell curve. Maybe it always was flat.
The vast majority of the people in the U.S. are idiots who are eagerly allowing themselves to be ruled by nimrods, or worse. There, Ive said it. Ill say more. One is a freaking 100% bona fide super moron whose brain is full of maggots if one doesnt get it by now that we have been played and the world is the not world we have been brought up to believe it is. Many articles have been posted on FR about the stupidity of this cronyvirus situation and the hypocrisy of our leaders. I should know, Ive posted my share, probably more than my share Im sure many will say.
These articles have shown us that governors test positive, then test negative. So too do many athletes. Other governors and politicians test positive, but like many ordinary people, never get sick. Congresswomen do not wear masks when getting their hair done, despite being in favor of mandatory masks for the peasants. My personal favorite: Dr. Fasci first told us masks were not necessary. Then said masks are necessary and that he told a little, whittle white lie in March and April in order to save masks for medical personnel when they were scarce. But he also said we can wear homemade cloth masks, which we could have done in March and April if its so f*cking vital we wears masks.
The slope of the curve is relative. A general decline of intelligence doesn’t result in a flattened graph.
I’m speaking metaphorically.
Has it been two weeks yet?
We have an election coming up don’t ya know? If they cut us loose we might accidently go vote in person and foul up their plans.
Two years from now this hoax will be relabeled as a bad flu season and a recession.
Its just the flu, bro !
Biggest scam in our lifetime. We shut down the civilized world for the freaking flu!
.
I was in Safeway today and still almost NO cleaning supplies. It’s been months since they were available. Our homes must be spotless. Cashier was wondering what we’re doing to our immune systems after months of mask wearing. If Big Brother finally says we can take the masks off, we will all try and go back to normal and get sick as dogs from other bugs?
I have not been wearing a mask. The few times I had to go to Walmart, I told the employee that lack of oxygen made me dizzy, and I smiled and waved and everyone.
I do wash my hands, and keep them away from my face. And I’ve never liked strangers getting too close anyway. Smile and wave. Life is short and getting shorter every day. Life is a gift—appreciate it and thank God you are alive and not six feet under.
Is it mandatory to wear a mask where you are?
No. It’s requested. Except Walmart has signs that say it is mandatory-which I just shrug and tell them no thanks, I need oxygen or something. And they say ok. Gradually most people are not wearing them.
At the ER, they asked if we would like a mask, and we said not really, so they didn’t require it. Local Dr. depends on which office.
I make it a point to go to grocery where it’s not required and ask the cashier to tell their management that’s why I’m shopping there. There’s a few items that are only available at Walmart.
We have Pubbie Governor, and Pubbie legislature. Local yokels are often Democrats, but are socially conservative and all love to hunt. So we aren’t as bad off as many when it comes to tyrannical dictates.
We supposedly have a pubbie governor where I live, but masks are mandatory and now and until he is dragged kicking and screaming from office.
If we had such a requirement, I’d be bombarding my reps and local yokels with all the anti-mask studies and documentation.
Just Like I’m going to bombard them with info about the bad ju ju flu studies-it should not be mandatory. I believe in informed consent, and I’m picky about what shots I’ll take.
I still remember the fiasco when the first polio vaccine was rushed out for mass vax program. I was in that first group-and lucked out that I didn’t get a contaminated batch. A bunch of kids in midwest schools actually got polio from the vaccination, due to cutter lab producing bad batch.
Class Action Lawsuit. People need air to breathe. Plenty of info that shows wearing mask is harmful to health. Just need some lawyers pro-bono.
Trump getting, and then quickly completely recovering from, the virus will kill this lockdown/mask nonsense. He may actually be behind this “October surprise”.
I just drove from my KY home to seattle and back. Seven total days on the road. I opened countless doors that said “masks required”, some with very “stern” warnings. I never wore a mask the entire trip and nobody said anything. I didn’t even get any dirty looks that I was aware of.
A few people even asked me how I was getting away with it and I just said that I didn’t bother - and some of them then removed their mask.
The signs mean nothing. It’s just the corporation practicing their “due diligence”.
Yeh, someone here had posted a copy of the Walmart corporate policy—it very plainly said not to challenge anyone who didn’t want a mask.
Hubby was going to go to Walmart, but he said if they tried to make him wear a mask, he would just leave because he didn’t want to wear one.
That’s me too, but so far no one says anything. Well, one Walmart employee did stop me but I just told him that I needed to be able to breathe or I would get dizzy-maybe fall and hurt myself.
Half a dozen people came up behind me in the store and told me they agreed with me, but didn’t want to argue. I said what do you mean argue? There was no argument, it’s corporate policy to let you go in without if you want. Ha.
My wife was in Pennies and saw a friend and they began talking. The friend was wearing a mask and asked my wife how she got away with not wearing one. My wife said that she just doesn’t, and nobody says anything.
Her friend then took hers off. :)
That’s my way of looking at it. I can’t do a lot, but I can fight back by being an example-no mask and others will be more inclined to do the same.
