RACHEL MADDOW, MSNBC HOST: I think a lot of the emotion around that in the country was in part that the Republicans and Mitch McConnell had done something that really did feel like it broke the system, that really did feel like just a small D, anti-democratic assault on the process. But it also felt like a feminist catastrophe and -- and you not becoming the first woman president, despite Justice Ginsburg's fervent belief that you would be. That was part of how she explained that she didn't retire during the Obama years. But also then for that Supreme Court seat to go and for the court to go that much further to the right, and then for us all to be praying for Justice Ginsburg's health in the way we had before because of the balance of the court.
It all just feels mixed together with so much emotions beyond the politics here. ....
CLINTON: No, I'm devastated by this, Rachel. Just losing her is such a massive hole in -- you know, my -- you know, young adulthood, my becoming a lawyer, both practicing and teaching law, looking up to her and following her career. But much more than that, it is such a devastating loss for justice and equality.
What -- what Ruth Bader Ginsburg did was to make it abundantly clear that the Constitution had to explicitly, wherever possible, be interpreted as providing for the equal rights of men and women. She was extremely clever in the way she began her litigation march because she brought cases on behalf of men. ....
And now with her loss, it is not only a personal loss, but it's a real threat to the steady march toward progress that we need continue.

And that is why RBG is a national disgrace. She let her political views interfere with her job.
I am not sure if she is the first supreme justice to inject politics into the 'interpretation of Constitution', but all of her decisions could be realized with Leftist pov. She didn't come to the bench doing her job with open-mindedness, none of the oral arguments would have changed her (hence she might as well nap on the job).
As I said, a complete disgrace. And I repeat, NOT to be role model for any young person.
“...a feminist catastrophe”
That Rachel guy makes that sound like it’s a bad thing.
BTW, Ha ha ha .....
Hillary Clinton as ‘feminist’ anything. What farce.
What about those women victims of Bill’s that she vilified?
Trump gets re-elected. We win the House and the Senate. A conservative judge replaces RBG.
Election night repeat of liberals wailing.
Oh it’s delicious.
I think what will enrage the liberals more is when they focus on the fact that Ginsburg could have retired back in 2015 at the age of 82, Obama could have nominated a liberal to replace her and they probably would have been confirmed by the Senate. Instead, RBG probably wanted to hang on until 2017, certain that Hillary would win in 2016 and you would have the precedent of the first woman president appointing the female justice’s replacement. Now, RBG’s timing has achieved the exactly the opposite of what they desired! This becomes the major campaign issue to Trump’s advantage, will probably stir up more city riots, and will hopefully end with the confirmation of a female justice equally conservative as RBG was liberal.

The President is the president for everyone, rich, poor, white, black, men, women, (the other 57 genders)...all of us. If a president sees himself as “black” or “feminist” or anything in particular, then, by necessity, all the other views of himself/herself/z-self must be subjugated or nonexistent. That means the President is the President not for everyone, but to push some particular agenda. How then does the President handle issues not related to his/her/Z’s agenda? Of necessity, poorly.
I think Trump is president today because he did not come across as having a narrow...exclusive...agenda whereas Hillary clearly ran on being the first woman. She came on the heels of “the first Black.” We all saw how that worked out.
What??
A “feminist catastrophe” is when you’re wearing white jeans and, oh, never mind...
Maddow is a Butch nut case.
Madcow is a man, what should he care about this? Oh, I get it, he’s one of those girlie, girlie men, with a lisp, that believes in feminism.
Rofl
Mr. Maddow sure is a drama king.
Maddow and Hitlery. They both munch the rug.
And had Ruthie retired while Obama was in power, he could have seated someone. They didn't think it out and never thought folks would support President Trump.
And the Dems have continued on their negative path...there's nothing good about "no fracking", "no fossil fuels", free everything...which will mean taxing the sh** out of hard working folks.
And of course, the baby killing will continue under the Dems and with OUR money.
Ruthie talked openly and hatefully as an anti-Trumper against our President.
Feminism at its core is an evil anti fertility cult.
I want to try someting new this year: crushing defeat.
I want the evening to start with winning New Hampshire by more than the margin of fraud. I want Pennsylvania and Florida to be curb stomp wins where the networks can't wait until past midnight. I want to be so far ahead in Michigan that it doesn't matter what Detroit does when they finally turn in the count. By the time Wisconsin and Minnesota announce I want the Dems drunk and wailing. No nail-biters this year. I even want people scared of the months of Democrats rioting moving Oregon and Washington to our side.
Two carpet munchers and a bad haircut
Wasn’t young Hillary thrown of the Watergate case due to a lack of ethics?
Yep. Aside from being anti mother/child, it somehow tricked women into thinking men were just living the dream at work.
Now both parents have to work since the labor force swelled, and women suppressed wages. Good going ladies.
Often, the lower income parent is barely getting more than daycare/babysitter costs.
Oh, and divorce is the highest ever.
The only potential good thing to come out of covid is many can work from home, and hopefully small group homeschooling can occur.
I know kids that are ahead of the lesson plans by doing just 2 hours a day.
Public school is day care/brainwashing.
