How in the world did this make its way into Newsweek? – That was my first reaction yesterday when an MD friend forwarded this story, endorsing the use of hydroxychloroquine (HQC) to me. Newsweek is part of the “resistance,” after all, and like CNN, the New York Times all the rest has completely tossed all prior concerns about “journalistic ethics” to the wind in the quest to rid the world of the Bad Orange Man in the White House.
Yet, here it is, a piece authored by Harvey A. Risch, MD, PHD, Professor of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, in all its glory.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Key to Defeating COVID-19 Already Exists. We Need to Start Using It | Opinion As professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health, I have authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and currently hold senior positions on the editorial boards of several leading journals. I am usually accustomed to advocating for positions within the mainstream of medicine, so have been flummoxed to find that, in the midst of a crisis, I am fighting for a treatment that the data fully support but which, for reasons having nothing to do with a correct understanding of the science, has been pushed to the sidelines. As a result, tens of thousands of patients with COVID-19 are dying unnecessarily. Fortunately, the situation can be reversed easily and quickly.
I am referring, of course, to the medication hydroxychloroquine. When this inexpensive oral medication is given very early in the course of illness, before the virus has had time to multiply beyond control, it has shown to be highly effective, especially when given in combination with the antibiotics azithromycin or doxycycline and the nutritional supplement zinc.
On May 27, I published an article in the American Journal of Epidemiology (AJE) entitled, “Early Outpatient Treatment of Symptomatic, High-Risk COVID-19 Patients that Should be Ramped-Up Immediately as Key to the Pandemic Crisis.” That article, published in the world’s leading epidemiology journal, analyzed five studies, demonstrating clear-cut and significant benefits to treated patients, plus other very large studies that showed the medication safety.
Physicians who have been using these medications in the face of widespread skepticism have been truly heroic. They have done what the science shows is best for their patients, often at great personal risk. I myself know of two doctors who have saved the lives of hundreds of patients with these medications, but are now fighting state medical boards to save their licenses and reputations. The cases against them are completely without scientific merit. [End] How much clearer does the case in favor of this medication regime need to be made, how many more Americans must needlessly die before the corrupt U.S. news media stops demonizing it and pressuring doctors and pharmacists to refuse to use it? Because, make no mistake about this: Hundreds, probably thousand of Americans are dead today due to the despicable politicizing of this medicine by the Democrats and their media toadies. They have committed an outright atrocity.
POLL PANIC UPDATE – 32 years ago Sunday, a Gallup poll showed Mike Dukakis leading George HW Bush by a margin of 55 to 38. That’s right: Dukakis supposedly had a massive, insurmountable 17-point lead over the sitting Vice President.
On Election Day in November, Poppy Bush received 53.4% of the popular vote to 45.6% for Dukakis. Bush won a whopping 426 Electoral votes to just 111 for the little fraud from Massachusetts.

In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s all starting to grow more intense again, because the Democrats see the COVID-19 “case” surge beginning to fade and lose impact on keeping the public frightened.

59 police officers injured, and there is not a word of outrage expressed by Seattle’s despicable Marxist Mayor Jenny Durkan. Not a word of coverage from any of the network news operations, not a word from CNN or MSNBC, not a word in the New York Times or the Washington Post.
This is an armed insurrection paid for and sponsored by the Democrat Party for political reasons. As I’ve been telling you for more than two years now, the Democrat Party sees rioting and looting and burning cities as just another political tactic.
If you still do not believe that is the case, then how do you explain this:
“That’s a myth.” That, folks, is a political talking point, not to mention an outrageous, conscious lie.
For Democrat politicians – all of them are complicit, each and every one of them – all the misery, all the pain, all the destruction, all the economic loss and fear and injury and death, all of that is just a means to an end. This really is how they think, and it is only when you accept that reality about them that you realize that everything they do is perfectly predictable.
They will not stop until they are stopped or – heaven help us – until they win.
They must not win.

Couple weeks ago, someone posted on one of the threads that this election is going to be a bloodbath in the Senate, with the Dems picking up as much as 11 seats. I am still trying to figure out how they came to this conclusion. Anyone got a clue?
