NYT Op-Ed: ‘Stop Eating Animals’ If You Care About Climate Change, Racial Justice and Working Poor

What is it with liberal outlets and their apparent virtue-signaling obsession with eliminating meat from our diets? The New York Times published a wacky op-ed headlined “The End of Meat Is Here.” In the sub-headline, author Jonathan Safran Foer grumbled that “If you care about the working poor, about racial justice, and about climate change, you have to stop eating animals.” [Emphasis added.] Only leftists like Foer would know how to make that nonsensical connection.

I’m convinced that this sort of propaganda is encouraged by the CCP as it means more meat for the market in China.

Check my tagline. It agrees with you!

Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters. One man’s faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. ... He, who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

Someone needs to follow this guy and snapshot him with a Big Mac.

You KNOW he does not follow this “advice.”

Liberals lie. Always.

“If you care about the working poor, about racial justice, and about climate change

Guess what. I don't care about any of those things. I care about farmers working. I care about justice that is blind, that includes being blind to race. And I care about the weather as much as it affect my day.

I stopped listening to Art Bell, when for the third weekend in a row, he had a climate Chicken-Little on. I turned Bell off for good just after that guest said *we* had to be vegans for the sake of the Gaia/Mother Earth/Climate/whatever, because of cow “methane”.

Art Bell. Now, there's a name I haven't heard for quite some time.

Or am I thinking of Anniken Skywalker?

Back during WWII. when meat was rationed, we raised rabbits. When Dad was drafted, it fell to me to butcher them when mother needed meat for the table. I didn't really like doing it, but it was a lot better than going hungry. Necessity Is a stern task master.

Bell died a few years ago.

After his second wife died (asthma), he married a young Filipino, and moved to the PI for a year or more.

I thought him staying there was weird, giving the number of cyclones and being part of the “ring of fire”.

If Bell was really concerned about “climate change”, he would have fulfilled his marriage requirements for his new wife’s citizenship, and moved back to the “high desert” tout suite, rather than hanging out there.

He did do his show on weekends from there for a while. Or tried to. The telecoms weren’t all that great at first.

Tell it to the UN.

Folks should see what on the menu in their dining rooms.

Ditto for the UK’s Parliament.

Talk is cheap, ain’t it....

a vegan populace is easier to control... more weak and feeble and cannot hunt their own food.

I'm all for people being able to eat whatever they want (excluding other humans) but the vast majority of Americans do not hunt their own meat. I find it hard to believe that they are ALL "weak and feeble".

when they outlaw meat... we will all be vegans...

unless we hunt the king’s deer and other proteins.

How many twits in the Times employ wear fur coats and leather boots in the fall and winter? The women in those offices all wear make up and lip stick, lip stick is made with animal fat. Hypocrites.
