Liberals were howling about Georgia Governor Brian Kemp allowing the state to re-open on April 24. Yet despite the dire predictions of doom a few weeks ago, the number of cases in the state have not only remained flat but have declined by 12% during the past week according to Axios.

Next week ALL of Florida will be re-opening with the re-opening of Broward (HOORAY!) and Dade counties. Oh, and the recent weekly decline of coronavirus cases in Florida is at 14%.

I misread the headline initially and thought to myself, “When did liberals begin slut-shaming?”

How can someone who has been wrong 100%, funded the damn virus, shut down the economy and done so much damage to our nation keep his job? The answer is simple - GOVERNMENT JOB

As you may know the numbers on the State of Georgia graph are preliminary until after 14 days (delayed symptom onset) has passed. As the 14 day lag passes, the numbers are adjusted, if necessary, and declared final.

If the preliminary estimates hold, the State is about to experience a very steep declined both in the numbers of cases and the number of deaths. If this decline is real, the State of Georgia will explode with social and economic activity.

“delayed symptom onset”

Delayed reporting.

Are you from Dacula? I had a friend of mine who live there about 10 years ago. Ken Norton.

Why do you think it takes 2 weeks to report?

Yes, I live in unincorporated Dacula. I actually live fairly close to Hog Mountain. That was where all of the farmers would bring their hogs and notch their ears before they were shipped off to Atlanta to be slaughtered.

The only Ken Norton that I know is the boxer. I have lived here well over 20 years.

“Why do you think it takes 2 weeks to report?”

From YOUR link:

* 14-day window – Confirmed cases over the last 14 days may not be accounted for due to illnesses yet to be reported or test results may still be pending.

What? No way?

Just kidding. I know what the State says. I'm in Georgia. I look at that graph 3 times a day.

Whatever is reported is still going to be affected by the delayed onset of symptoms. Deaths on the other hand should be pretty much as reported, but folks around here are still glued to the graph...waiting for the precipitous decline.
