The President says something fairly simple.
The Press is too stupid to understand, and tells everyone that the President is stupid.
Some percentage of the population walks around thinking “I can’t believe that idiot is president”.
People on Face Book are having a field day with this!
The Press understood fully well. They just chose to parse Trump’s words into something that fits their agenda and hatred of him.
It was the top headline in the morning rag I sometimes read online (only because it’s free).
No ..IT WAS A TRAP! Trump should have said..ARE YOU STUPID WHAT PART OF USING IT TO CLEAN SURFACES DONT YOU UNDERSTAND?!!! Ugh! Please someone get us out of our misery with this bastard mediaVOMITS!!! Please!!
The press isn’t stupid in this case. They are waiting to pounce on anything that can be misinterpreted into something they can use to make Trumps sound stupid — in other words to manufacture fake news. So they are actually being clever but in a demented way to serve their demented ideology which rejects reality most of the time.
The president causes his own problems. He knows the press will overreact to things he says. So why inject his questions into the meeting with the experts? Let the experts talk and let the press ask THEM their questions. He sounds pretty stupid sometimes with some of the questions he asks. I’d prefer to just hear from the experts.
The Press isn't too stupid to understand, they are smart enough to twist the President's words to attack him, knowing that their distortions will mainly go unchallenged.
