Ticketmaster has so far cancelled or postponed 30,000 events worth $2 billion in ticket sales. With more than 25,000 events still scheduled for the year, Ticketmaster expects additional events to be cancelled or postponed and will offer refunds on a rolling basis.

I’m not particularly concerned for most of the big names.
The support people and the rest, I hate to see them suffer.

Ok, so there is a silver lining.
First it was shopping malls, made untenable by the breakdown of social norms.
Now its theme parks, concerts, and other mass gatherings.
All this is making the internet a single-point-of-failure mode.
I know a guy who scalps tickets for almost every show or game at Staples Center for a living And Im sure he’s close to bankruptcy.
Ticketmaster is a giant ripoff.
TicketBastard(tm). Now that’s one business I would celebrate going under.
Ticketmaster is evil... Ticket cost, $65. Ticketmaster fees $40...
How they have gotten away with the crap they do for so long is beyond me.
Me either.
I doubt I’ve used Ticket master at all.
Ummm, when multiple layers of government ban gatherings of over 50 canceling events isn’t caving. Especially when a significant portion of the venues are OWNED and RUN by those various layers of government.
Other than scalpers, no way to buy tickets to any major event in my town without them... They have a monopoly and know it and use it.
I never go to big events and almost never to any small ones.
After a typical week of the hapless, helpless, and hopeless I have had my fill of being around people.
My wife is big on being social.
