Are we overreacting to Coronavirus? The answer is hell yeah!
At this time, the United States is seeing what very well may be the peak in deaths from the latest human Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. The media reporting and governmental response to this viral outbreak are unprecedented. But what is more concerning than the virus itself is our American collective response to it. It is no less than tragic.
If it is not seen for what it is, it very well may mean the end of the American experiment and will lead to new totalitarianism that will harm and persecute future generations.
Coronavirus is just an excuse; we went through this same hysteria with the Swine Flu epidemic of 1976 and again with the TEOTWAWKI of Y2K. And Avian Flu, and SARS and a dozen other crises.
Yes, follow commonsense practices for hygiene, take care of yourself. Seek medical help if necessary. Do NOT surrender to fear. Fear is our biggest enemy.
If you wonder about which place is the Coronavirus on the list of whats killed most people this year popular conservative radio host has the numbers.
Rush Limbaugh has the numbers to chew on to put this in context. In the first three months of this year, here is a list of worldwide deaths:
Coronavirus, 21,000 deaths, worldwide. Seasonal flu, 113,000. Malaria, 228,000. Suicide, 249,000. Traffic fatalities, 313, almost 314,000 deaths. HIV/AIDS, 391,000 deaths. Alcohol-related deaths, 581,000. Smoking-related deaths, 1,162,000. Cancer deaths, 1,909,000 deaths. Deaths attributed to starvation, 2,382,000 deaths. And death by abortion, 9,900,000.
In the first three months of this year, January 1 through March 25th.
We have to say 21,000 coronavirus deaths, and counting because as of the moment of writing we have 68, 423 and the number is expected to rise.
But still, these numbers are far from 2,382,000 which are deaths that are caused by starvation.
But lets not forget that if this lockdown continues the numbers of people that will die from starvation will increase as well.
According to the World Health Organisations (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer, there were 9.6 million deaths from cancer in 2018. That works out to around 26,000 deaths a day worldwide.
The recent Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree Rush Limbaugh on Thursday floated the theory that deaths from coronavirus have been inflated so that governments could further the policies they have put in place.
Citing the latest record-breaking unemployment claims numbers at the top of his radio show, Limbaugh groused that the 10 million jobless claims filed over the past two weeks arent enough for people like Bill Gates and others who want to shut down the entire country.
After referencing recent White House modeling projecting between 100,000 and 240,000 U.S. deaths if the country adheres to current social-distancing guidelines, the right-wing talker then cited an article written by a pathologist to bolster the claim that governments could be fudging their numbers.
Now, folks, dont misunderstand, look, Im not trying to stir anything up here, Limbaugh insisted. Theres all kinds of people speculating about things out there. Im just giving you facts.
As AAPS reported the CDC estimates that influenza-like illnesses and pneumonia accounted for on average 7.65% of total deaths during the 12th week of the year the last six years. For the 12th week of 2020, the CDC estimates that percentage as 8.15%, but part of the reason for the increase is a noticeable decrease in the deaths by all other causes. On average 55,000 Americans died in the 12th week of the last six years. During the 12th week of 2020, 40,000 Americans died. Who in the media is discussing this?
The numbers are here! Once again be careful but dont panic.
Please share this article wherever you can. It is the only way we can work around their censorship and ensure people receive news about issues the mainstream media suppress.
We’re always living on the edge of demise. That’s why we need to keep working; to hold off the demise.
We had better be controlled for anything and everything that causes deaths anywhere near and above covid-19 numbers.
Over-eating. Under-exercising. Smoking. Medical procedures. Accidents. Drinking. DUI. Suicide.
Better block us, penalize us and ankle-bracelet us to protect us against all dangerous activities.
No more trampolines and swimming pools, elective cosmetic surgeries, alcohol sales, chain and circular saws, off-roading, ocean swimming, driving over 35 mph...so many possibly deadly things!
Uncle Sam, please save us!!!
The point of the matter is, the lock down is a gross overreaction. Our People are Sheeple.
If that is your belief, then take no precautions against COVID-19.
Thats your choice and your responsibility.
The next time one of these fake epidemics is sprung on us, we ought to immediately seize all media outlets and the salaries of government employees and confiscate all their paychecks. The First Amendment obviously doesn’t apply to the rest of us, so why should these groups, responsible for destroying our livelihoods, remain fat and happy, profiting from the disaster they manufactured?
228,000 suicides. That number will soar.
Wouldn’t people who at at risk always take precautions, just like those at risk from the flu? It just doesn’t have to be over-the-top like this. The arithmetic belies the need for full scale panic. Or, are you numerically impaired?
Probably, when western civilization falls, the the primary culprit will be risk aversion.
Trump ain’t no fool.
We win. They lose.
I worry that the country will, in the future, react to any “flu, virus, or contagion” just like we’ve reacted to this....
Im not in a panic. I will take precautions and have prepped for such an event.
Medical mistakes kill hundreds of thousands of Americans annually.
Bet healthcare professionals kill more people than WuFlu this year, too...
Flubros never give up. I’ll give you that.
At some point soon they are going to have to open the economy or the cure will be worse than the disease.
Also at some point in the near future CorornaVirus deaths will far surpass the flu.
Context BUMP! Cause of death recording BUMP Amplification by media and strength of platform BUMP! Lots of variables BUMP!
“The next time one of these fake epidemics is sprung on us, we ought to immediately seize all media outlets and the salaries of government employees and confiscate all their paychecks.”

Excellent !
I think our people and our nation can withstand a month of lockdown. If not, we were all living in the edge of demise.
....
Oh will you please spare us with your “demise” talk! Nothing worse than drama queens!
You do not seem to understand that a very bad and scary precedent has been set here! Politicians, at the snap of their fingers turned off the U.S. economy! This should scare the hell out of you! If this continues, not only will more jobs and businesses be lost, but retirements will vanish, and production will completely stop! You cannot NOT artificially shut down an economy as large as the US economy without serious consequences!
I cannot believe some have gladly given up some of their freedoms to politicians for a little safety!
WE’ll see how much you like this when the Dems are running the government and decide to pull this type of sh*t again!
Politicians will never give up this power they’ve tasted during this hoax of a pandemic!
Politicians will never give up this power theyve tasted during this hoax of a pandemic!
This is not a hoax of a pandemic.
During the lock down I see a population boom!!
That, along with an abortion boom. They never tell us how many babies are killed.
States should be required to register positive test results with a person. The results should be verified if the death certificate is listing Coronavirus as cause. It is a money grab by states.
