...But neither Cuomo nor New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio deserve attaboys. A toxic combination of Big Apple hubris, devotion to open borders regardless of the imminent threat, and Trump-hating obstinacy fueled a stubborn strategy that left their citizens vulnerable for months.
Further, New York’s political leaders have acknowledged that the world’s financial capital...the most densely populated city in the country—has no comprehensive plan to deal with a pandemic or any viral public health threat. Cuomo and DeBlasio have cobbled together a last-minute, slapdash strategy as COVID-19 spread across the globe and closed in on New York City.
By January 31, the day President Trump suspended flights from China, “outbreaks were already growing in over 30 cities across 26 countries, most seeded by travelers from Wuhan,” according to one model by the New York Times.

I believe Cuomo has not yet extended NY tax filing deadline to conform with the federal July 15 deadline.
He is totally incompetent his state above ALL other states should be ready for a crisis after 9/11 they should have had a HUGE supply of masks, gloves, ventilators and all medical supplies!! The federal government received a chance to purchase a mass amount of ventilators and a very inexpensive price 5 years ago Cuomo declined 16,000 ventilators then gets on TV SCREAMING it s Trumps fault!!!

Because they are stocked only to handle the average quarterly use plus a small safety margin.
No hospitals anywhere in the country are stocked to deal with a major pandemic. Couple that with the fact nearly all their PPE comes from outside the USA and walla, you have major nationwide shortages as the countries that make those things stop exports outside their country as China has done and a few others as well.
Then, when you have two major auto companies that commit to and then attempt to renege on making critical supplies in the quantities and at the prices agreed upon, you get a very pissed off, President Trump. Not a man you want angry at you in the midst of a pandemic.
Just because the lowlife New Yorkers have not risen up in violence so far does not mean they will always remain dormant.
Then what will Cuomo and De Blasio do to their constituents?
Examples:
If many muggers rely upon innocent people walking around to or from work or restaurants, or driving somewhere, then how do the muggers make their money and maintain their drug habits?
When derelicts make their money from being returnable can and bottle bagmen (along with welfare) and then states declare no returnables accepted (as Michigan said this week)
then where do they get their daily cash?
Finally, a politician said “I saw a disheveled man pulling on the front door of a closed up Arby’s. He looked impatient as if he fully depended upon fast food restaurants as his bathroom. Are they going to use the sidewalks as in California?
And there was a FReeper here a few days ago, swooning over Cuomo and how he was handling the virus in NY.

Mismanagement is the name of the game.
It is the best way to line one’s own pockets.
