That's what I keep asking myself. How is it these hospitals are not completely full, but they run out of supplies in a week? Have they not prepared at all? Who the hell is managing these hospitals?

Because they are stocked only to handle the average quarterly use plus a small safety margin.

No hospitals anywhere in the country are stocked to deal with a major pandemic. Couple that with the fact nearly all their PPE comes from outside the USA and walla, you have major nationwide shortages as the countries that make those things stop exports outside their country as China has done and a few others as well.

Then, when you have two major auto companies that commit to and then attempt to renege on making critical supplies in the quantities and at the prices agreed upon, you get a very pissed off, President Trump. Not a man you want angry at you in the midst of a pandemic.

Mismanagement is the name of the game.

It is the best way to line one’s own pockets.

I expected no less form NYS.
