This won’t last long. The Chinese government will act swiftly and deadly. The DEMs (and probably the RINOs) will look on in envy.
Word has it the Chinese government has been trying to shut down those markets, but the long-standing culture fights back against it. So they remain. Now, given what we know now, how much of that is the truth?

Or the vast majority of the citizens of locked down areas were never infected or if infected and had no more than mild symptoms or no symptoms at all, and thus KNOW things were never as bad as it seemed and are sick and tired of the dictators.

Or, based on the very clear results from DP, SK, Italy and Spain, among others, lots of people died, especially once the HCS was overwhelmed, and the people are consequently pissed off about the whole disaster. They KNOW where it started and who caused it.

and using Spain or Italy as an example (showing worse rates than China), the infection rate of the population would be about 0.1120%. That’s not 11,2%, it’s as it shows 0.1120%.
So even taking those bad examples, Spain and Italy as a suggestion the Chinese figures have been flubbed - I’d suggest that most of the Hubei citizens knew they were not the problem.

The mortality rate is the last refuge of the FluBros and Panda Propagandists. With massive containment and mitigation efforts those numbers are not representative - unless you can prove total containment of a population wide penetrance. No such example exists.
In Italy 1 in 9 cases dies. At least. Are there many unconfirmed infected? No doubt. There are also many cases where someone with some other issue that was infected and died 10 years earlier than they otherwise would have is having that death attributed to the comorbidity.
In France and Spain they are finding corpses in retirement homes, abandoned by the very care givers they depended on. They died of neglect, right? Not CCP-19?
In SK they tested massive numbers of people, still are. They know the distribution of cases. On the DP they tested everyone. They also know the distribution of cases. Singapore and HK, same, but I trust their numbers less than SK.
If the spread is contained and the curve flattened enough to keep the HCS from collapsing, 2% of infected will die. If the HCS fails, 5% to 20% will die. And people that might have otherwise survived won’t have access to the medical care that would have saved them. You wanna see economic chaos and another Great Depression? Let that just run loose in an unvaccinated, no-immunity population. We won’t have either a HCS or an economy to speak of.
The people that claim it is overblown have demonstrated time and again that they can’t do basic math. And they have a strange propensity to want to believe China’s official numbers.
So where did the 5,000 surplus bodies per day that were being cremated in Wuhan come from? This went on for months. How many people is that, that didn’t die from CCP-19? Oh, that’s right, they all died of something else, what ever convenient comorbidity it could be attributed to.
