Thousands of Americans [NF: even if true, about as many as think the earth is flat] think President Donald Trump may try to cancel the 2020 election by citing the coronavirus pandemic. On the left and right, they envision him declaring a national emergency, using those newly invoked powers to suspend the November vote and extend his first term in the White House.
It’s not purely paranoia. The pandemic has already canceled campaign rallies, postponed the primary election in Louisiana, and raised ideas to nix the parties’ nominating conventions. Trump, for his part, has often lied about his last election to justify his political power, and most specifically, he retweeted a suggestion last year from Jerry Falwell Jr. that his first term should be extended by two years.

Avoidable nastiness aside, this article concludes rationally that it will not happen. But it is significant how many people on that side think that’s the plan.

Putting people in “camps” was talked up too. None is this is new. Democrats haven’t accepted a lost presidential election in decades. They’ve been cheated over and over according to them.
I remember the day it started! Our first grade teacher, whose fiance was serving in Pearl Harbor, came in to class and told us what had happened that Sunday and expressed her concern over his safety. She finally heard, several weeks later, that he was safe and sound.

The dems owe our president an extra two years since they stole the the first two years with the totally bogus impeachment campaign. It will never happen unfortunately but it would be fun to watch the media meltdown at the mere mention of this as a possibility.
