Missouri R party chair and former state rep abandoned her district (MO 99) to become chair, then her candidate, a nice lady, lost to a Soros leftist. Party shirks responsibility. Josh Hawley is talking a good job, but he is responsible for the meltdown here - he essentially supported the corrupt leftist attack against Greitens. Now a young white leftist female who is running for governor has launched a scandal against Hawley just as Greitens is publicly cleared. Then the governor (Parson) announces this is his last race.
How damn exciting these MO Repubicans are! What fighters.
This makes me sick.
MO needs to wake up. We have good gun laws and are a good state, but the predators and parasites are very very busy.
I’m no fan of Parsons but Greitens did it to himself. He has no one to blame but himself. Frankly I think you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill.
All right. You look at at Governor Parson, and then look at party leadership, and see if you think they are up to the job of fighting off the communists this year.
Don’t you think the communists are just as exposed on personal sins? Do the repubicans ever expose those?
Greitens has been cleared and there was zero proof of any of the accusations.
Get back to me with evidence that Parson is any kind of fighter or anything but a fudd on gun rights.
Oh geez, the sky is falling!
The melodrama is deep in this thread. I’m going elsewhere.
McCaskill should have been beaten many times over. I remember when Todd Akin should have easily defeated her but he tripped over his tongue.
I am in Alabama and we have demo Doug Jones in the senate right now so we can’t say much. I feel confident Jones is about to be removed.
What Akin said could have been recovered from.
His error was not what he said so much as his incompetence as a fighter. He was arrogant and overconfident and seemed to think he did not have to fight.
That is the overall attitude of Missouri repubicans, even after four years of Trump.
So, they are in losing mode.
Hope I am wrong.
When did Gov Parson say he would run for only one term ?
And you still think that in light of what happened in VA?
The dems getting in control is NOTHING to take lightly.
Parson - last election (2020):
St Louis Compost-Dispatch Feb 25:
JEFFERSON CITY Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican who took over the states top post in 2018 after the departure of embattled former Gov. Eric Greitens, said Tuesday he is running in his final election.
On the first day of filing for candidates running in the Aug. 4 primary, the 64-year-old former sheriff, representative, senator and lieutenant governor said he will not run again for any office after he submitted paperwork to get on the ballot.
Yeah. I dont see that in my future, Parson said. Ive been around long enough to say, Never say never. But Id say the first lady might say never.
With no races for U.S. Senate this year, the governors race will be the main focal point for both major parties. Also on the ballot are the lieutenant governors post, secretary of state, attorney general and state treasurer.
All eight of Missouris U.S. House seats will be on the ballot, along with all 163 Missouri House seats and 17 seats in the state Senate.
Along with Parson, Democratic State Auditor Nicole Galloway filed her paperwork to get on the ballot for governor. The two have the most money and are considered the front-runners to be on the ballot in November.
Galloway, 37, who won a full, four-year term in 2018, told reporters that she would bring a fresh perspective to the governors office, with a focus on ensuring people have access to health care.
Governor Parson is part of the old way of doing things where the well-connected get what they want, the campaign donors get what they want. Meanwhile, Missouri families cannot get what they need, Galloway said.
Although the filing period runs through March 31, candidates began lining up outside the office of Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft early Tuesday morning.
Among them were Antoin Johnson and Jimmie Matthews of St. Louis, both of whom filed to run for governor on the Democratic ticket.
Rik Combs of Lohman filed for governor as a Libertarian Party candidate.
Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe, a Jefferson City Republican who was appointed to his seat after Parson moved into the Governors Mansion, submitted his paperwork in search of a full, four-year term.
Arnie Dienoff of OFallon, who has previously run for other offices, also filed as a Republican lieutenant governor candidate.
Gregory Upchurch of St. Charles filed to run as a Democrat for lieutenant governor. Upchurch previously made an unsuccessful bid for the 70th House District, losing in the Democratic primary to eventual winner Rep. Paula Brown.
Attorney General Eric Schmitt, R-Glendale, filed in anticipation of a challenge from Democrats, who held the seat for more than two decades until now-U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley wrestled it away in 2016.
Exactly.
I hope you’re wrong too. We don’t need to lose Missouri.
I lived in the KC area for about 5 years. Good people. More conservative values than liberal.
I totally missed this...
“...but the predators and parasites are very very busy....”
They always are, and they’ll never stop until they get control.
You don’t win a fight unless you fight.
Parsons and Hawley will be fine. Nicole Galloway, the Missouri Auditor, is running for governor, but she isn’t likely to gain much traction. 2020 is not going to be a good year for Democrats in any state, especially Missouri.
First, with Trump on the ballet theres not a snowballs chance in hell Galloway gets elected as governor.
Missouri is deep red for the foreseeable future.
Second Grietens screwed himself, his family and Missouri. He needs to stay away and not damage Missouri anymore.
Third there are some great people in Missouri politics. Eddy Justice is running for state senate and he is the best of the best. Anyone he endorses or associates with should be solid.
I know Eddy personally. His father was my pastor for 13 years.

We had McCackels for too long because Akins was an idiot, a total fool and buffoon.
> You dont win a fight unless you fight.
That’s my point. Thank you.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Some good individuals, but R party in MO are overconfident arrogant losers.
> Missouri is deep red for the foreseeable future.
That’s what I thought. But when things change, they change below the surface first.
Let me repeat what got my attention.
The R party chair now abandoned her state district, then allowed that district to go to a Soros leftist, and now disclaims any responsibility for that disaster.
Bump
I wish you luck!
Remember you could end up like us here in Colorado, without a say in the Presidential election and with Polis as governor.
