Earlier today Dr. Nancy Messonnier, an official in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), held a conference call with media and pushed a panic narrative around the Coronvirus that ran counter to the Trump administration. What makes the statements by Dr. Messonnier even more interesting is the fact she is the only sister of former DOJ Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Dr. Messonnier, director of the CDCs National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (link) told reporters on the call:
We are asking the American public to work with us to prepare for the expectation that this could be bad. I understand this whole situation may seem overwhelming and that disruption to everyday life may be severe. But these are things that people need to start thinking about now.
The alarming message from Dr. Messonnier was quickly picked up by most major news organizations and pushed into all reporting on the issue. The tone of the alarm is also counter to the message of the Trump administration and HHS Secretary Alex Azar, as outlined in a press conference with leadership from U.S. Health and Human Services.

Again, I dont relate this virus to the 1918 flu or Ebola
But there are those who are trying hard to cause a panic
It wouldnt hurt to have some canned goods and all your medications
CDC is the medical wing of the DNC.
The coup continues?
Preparing for various problems is being a snowflake? I’ve been through several hurricanes and was sure glad I was a “snowflake”.
Wonder if she has a FR login name?
Exactly, it never hurts to have some preparations. It’s common sense. Guess some of these folks are “getting off” by acting like internet macho men. Sad little critters with small “parts.”
HUGH HEWITTs been pushing CORONAVIRUS DISASTER for DAYS and he SOLD ALL OF HIS APPLE STOCK LAST WEEK!!! SHORT, HUGHIE???
Anyone with a following on the internet can create panic and selling or the opposite.
So what?
I'm not sure how you equate someone being prepared for emergencies a snowflake, Mr. Tommy Tutones.
The patrician and insider networks at the heart of our Government would make a Roman blush.
There are no coincidences, at this level of the game.
Of course..this is ALL about hurting Trump its always been..a few months ago when Trump issued the travel ban the same commie media called him a racist, now its OMG OMG CORONA ITS ALL TRUMPS FAULT

Prepping doesn’t have to be fancy. Just $100 and a trip to Walmart gets you a decent 1 month supply of canned food, jugs of water, LED flashlight, and bandages.
Also, you can use some of the goodies later and replace them.
You don’t even have to go in the store at W. Just order on line and pick up when convenient to you at pull in spots outside the store. You can even order wine, beer and some hard liquor with your order.
