What does the Freeper hive mind think the possibility is of a Bloomberg/Bernie ticket? Moderate (a lie, but you know...) at the top of the ticket for older Dems and Bernie as VP to try and keep the bros onboard.
Remember, “moderate” is a relative term.
With his money he can go third party with little difficulty. He already has hundreds of Dem staff on his payroll. Getting enough for a national campaign will be no problem if he wants it and after last night I cannot see him supporting any of the Dems. Nor do I see them supporting him. At least not Warren or Biden. The other two are irrelevant.
Honestly, who would blame them for being pissed? Two election cycles in a row getting screwed would really, really suck for them.
This article is based on pre-debate plotting.
At this point Bloomberg is trying to make sure those NDAs stick, or someone will stick a fork in him!
If Bloomberg is harassed by angry womyn every time he makes a public appearance, he will bail...
Womyn power! ;-)
I am not a big fan of the self-proclaimed “experts” on CNN.
However, I thought they made a good point last night when they said that if Bernie had a substantial delegate lead—say, by several hundred delegates over other candidates, that the super delegates would have to hold their nose and vote to nominate Bernie.
We hope that will not happen, and you never know with wacky Democrats, but it seems like more than a 50-50 chance.
Can’t argue any of that. The Republicans, despite knowing, FOR SURE, that Trump would get clobbered by Hillary, also knew what would happen if they supported Paul Ryan’s plot to take Trump’s place on the November 2016 ballot...we got the word to them that NO REPUBLICAN was safe, not even at the Dog Catcher level, if they tried that move. The party (obviously) made the right choice, and let Trump get clobbered that year (LOL).
The Dems probably feel empowered by screwing Bernie in 2016, but still getting at least 90% of his voters. But I agree, not happening again - because, among other reasons, after over 3 years of Trump, the world hasn’t ended - even Bernie voters realize that they will still have a country they can live in (even prosper in) if the Trump stays in office.
It will be different this time...I agree on that!
I agree, she’s done.
But the rats do not believe this as they are living in an alternate reality.
No matter who the rats put up against Trump, the only way they can win is through massive voter fraud, and they know it.
“Here is the dilemma for Democrats. Bernie cannot win. Yet no other Democratic candidate has even a remote chance of defeating Trump without the enthusiastic support by Sanders and his ardent supporters. If Sanders is denied, there will be no unity. The DNC is not stupid. They realize that winning the Presidency in 2020 is unlikely. There main effort will be to prevent a Congressional debacle.”
that makes sense ... lose with bernie, but MAYBE keep the House ... whereas a brokered convention that steals bernie’s plurality and hands the crown to no-personality Farmer Mike would fracture the brittle coalition of the Dem party, probably permanently ...
i spoke with Senator Cory Gardner’s campaign manager last night and he swore that there was no way the Dem party was insane enough to steal Bernie’s plurality via the super-delegates for the above reason ...
What he calls Moderates, we call Trump voters now.;)
“If Bloomberg is harassed by angry womyn every time he makes a public appearance, he will bail”
yes, one wonders how his fragile, but ginormous, multi-billion dollar ego could handle such public abuse ... undoubtedly not very well ..
“What does the Freeper hive mind think the possibility is of a Bloomberg/Bernie ticket?”
the VP slot is largely ceremonial and possesses zero actual power ... a GOOD VP is one who makes a great errand boy(or girl) and is at least semi-believable when they say they speak for the President, so given the egos involved, neither Bloomberg/Bernie nor Bernie/Bloomberg are even remotely possible ...
I’m registered unaffiliated here in NC. Best I know, I can request a Dim ballot for the primary vote on 03/03. Many may cross over and vote for Bernie for obvious reasons. Anyone else considering this?
Yes—good plan!
I think there is way too much bad blood between those two for that to happen. Bloom knows that Bernie is a commie.
Warren will stay in long enough to get some delegates. No way she’ll pledge them to mini-mike, they’ll go to Sanders.
That is the “insider” thinking and it is _probably_ correct.
But—I call 2020 “the year the masks come off” so _anything_ is possible.
The Dems could self-destruct and force the Bernie-bots to form a strong new third party.
Same strategist that provided mini-mike prep debate? If Bernie gets a large plurality then he'll surely get some of Warren's delegates and some super delegates.
