What we are witnessing in east Africa and across much of the Middle East right now is hard to believe. 360 billion locusts are eating everything in sight, and UN officials are warning that this plague of Biblical proportions could get many times worse over the next several months.
Desert locusts can travel up to 93 miles a day, and each adult can consume the equivalent of its own weight in food every 24 hours. These voracious little creatures are traveling in absolutely colossal swarms that are up to 40 miles wide, and they continue to push into new areas. If urgent action is not taken on a massive scale, millions upon millions of people could soon have next to nothing to eat.
I have previously written about the horrors that this plague is causing in east Africa, but many people dont realize that this plague is devastating crops throughout the Middle East as well.
In fact, the government of Pakistan just declared a national emergency because of these locusts
A locust plague is wreaking havoc in Pakistan as unprecedented and alarming swarms ravage crops as shocking video shows millions of the insects sweeping through Saudi Arabia.
Pakistans government declared a national emergency at the weekend after an infestation of desert locusts arrived in eastern Pakistan.
In Saudi Arabia, the swarms have been so thick at times that they have completely blocked out the sun, and video footage coming out of that country is getting attention all over the world
Meanwhile swarms of locusts have been milling the skies in Saudi Arabia, with one video circulating online showing the sky saturated with the insects.
Another shows a tree in Saudi Arabia crawling with desert locusts, which consume their own body weight in food each day.
But of course east Africa remains the hardest hit region, and UN officials are warning that a horrible famine could rapidly develop as a result of this plague.
God moves in mysterious ways...
Don’t be silly. Climate change caused this. Never in history has there been locusts in that part of the world.
Get out the chocolate fondue pakis, Saudis, jihadists
EAT the locusts. Prepare them something like shrimp. Probably delicious!
“...a horrible famine could rapidly develop as a result of this plague.”
How could there be a famine? The greenies keep telling us that bugs are really good to eat.
Give everyone nets.
Locust are good eatin...
Locust, coronavirus, democratc socialists...
Which plague is next, Lord?
Nuke them!
Don't taste like chicken, but next best thing to it
“360 billion locusts...”
Boy - how’d ya like to be the person that had to count them all!?
At least they left the significant figure at 10 billion. Not like the Chinese, that say something like 1,167 people have died of the virus.

Disease, abortions and armed conflict are part of the life/death cycle.
Why dont they just fire shotgun pellets into the sky to kill off the locusts? I mean how could it not be that easy.
Crop duster would perhaps work too.
Headed to China?
Last summer they went nuts about Brazil’s fires, then Australia’s fires(which are currently being rained on). As soon as they get Iowa behind them, this “never before!” locust thing caused by climate change, will be addressed by each candidate at a future primary.
It’s Trump’s fault...
Instead of better ideas, RESISTANCE!
Let them eat oil.
It’s funny-THEY have an abundance of oil and gouge the s*&t out of everyone else who doesn’t.
The US has wheat and we always help in those areas with draught, flood or what ever natural disaster they experience. I am sure WE don’t gouge.
