Get a l/t with an easily removable HD.
Or keep your stuff on a USB stick or two [b/u].
A friend visiting DC left her purse in a car as she made a brief stop to pick something up at a friends house near Adams Morgan/Cardozo area.
Someone smashed her car window and stole the purse within 5 minutes.
Anyone who lives in DC knows this.
Considering the information on the lap top-It should be protectected like the nuclear football.
OMG..... I had your almost exact thoughts.
My first thought was: FBI, then CIA, then Crowdstrike, mabe NSC. Maybe its all the same.
Think about that scenario.
White trash is everywhere. I live in more rural New Jersey now, and I live in the middle of nowhere and still have neighbors who get car break ins, one of my neighbors is a state trooper and his car always get broke into because his property abuts state land where ATV trails are. So he suspects its a dirt bag who rides in his ATV some evening and sneaks on his property and does a smash and grab.
My property has a half mile long driveway, I have a gate at the main road, and another gate going to my pole barn, some late night some crack head walks up the driveway, goes around my gates, and steals three old empty computer cases out my scrap metal bin and walks them back out to the road. I have IP cameras and I looked it up and this dirt bag is like juggling/dropping these things through my parking area and down the driveway. He literally stole 20 cents worth of scrap metal. These cases were empty, nothing inside them, not even circuit boards or hard drives or anything.
Or with a screw driver
Im sure its password protected and the info is already in the cloud.
Agreed. Solomon is a pretty sharp guy, but he wasn't very sharp leaving a laptop in his car. Pretty dumb.
That was my first thought, too. Not logical for a professional journalist like John Solomon.
I don't trust much of what I read on Gateway Pundit. Are there any other news sources (ie Fox News, OANN) reporting this supposed theft? I just did some searches, and didn't see it anywhere else.
Re: 85 - we still have one of these kicking around. Never got rid of it!
The laptop and press badge were locked inside the car trunk out of sight.
If that is correct, things will get interesting.
It means that the person who stole it, or his boss, knew that the lap top was in the trunk.
He broke into the car electronically, took only the hidden lap top, left money and other things that were in the car......
But it was just some random street punk that just happened along?
I would not be surprised to learn that JS has a video of the thief and he is trolling him.
Ditto on not trusting Gateway Pundit.
He’s not as smart as I hoped.
That’s one way to create name recognition
Well, for one reason, if he was going to go into the White House, some electronics are not permitted. Similarly, if you are going into the gallery of the House or Senate, electronics are not permitted, not even a cellular phone. Where are you going to leave them?

Exactly. Maybe it wasn’t THE laptop and was just A laptop, the only valuable on which is Tetris and Centipede.
