The impeachment is technically just the accusation.

It means no more than having been accused by the House.

That the process is completing without conviction means the Senate disagreed.

Given that the record shows it was a wholly partisan affair driven in desperation by a temporary opposition majority in control of merely one-half of Congress, the black mark here is on Nancy.

All of the House, 1/3 of the Senate

Is there some way for the GOP or those who are not ‘never Trumpers’ to challenge, sue, or find some way to have Trump’s name publicly cleared as to having been falsly accused of wrongdoing by dark forces and impeached because of their scandalous accusations. That though the word ‘impeached’ would still appear on his record, it would be supplemented by the words ‘by a corrupt group of lawmakers’ and with ‘deep state participation’ and that for the record, right next to the word ‘impeached’ are placed the words ‘falsely accused’ ‘found not guilty’ ‘completely exonerated’ as having had been a target of a wide ranging group of conspirators who assassinated his character, a group of ‘desperate politicians and rogue government entities.

The best remedy is to retake the House then have the House vote to expunge the Impeachment. Then the little historical asterisk will show Trump as the only president who not only got reelected after an impeachment but the first one be UN-impeached as well.

My wife was wondering about President Trump suing everyone involved in impeachment for defamation of character. Seems like there is plenty of evidence to overwhelm the “public figure” catch.

Why would he want to? Someone once said you can tell you are over the target when you start taking flak. If it were me, I would consider making a golden “I” pin and searing it on my lapel as a sign that he brought the swamp out of the shadows and into clear view of all. There can be no more doubt about the corrupt perma-government and now that they are out in the open it’s time to undergo a swampectomy which we hope will start with Dunham but that isn’t assured but re-election would give POTUS a clear mandate to excise the swamp creatures.

It really means nothing. Just a glorified “no confidence” vote really.

The Framers probably should have required a 2/3 majority to impeach in the House.

"It will ultimately stand as a testament to his greatness, not as a black mark on his record."

It's a scarlet letter "I" against a colluding democrat congress for an Incomplete, Incompetent and totally frivolous Impeachment.

It will be the symbol of why the Democratic Party died and nothing more.

Silly...
Read the Constitution and then come back and tell us what role the courts have in impeachment.

Senators and Reps are careful to make their most defamatory remarks while protected by the Speech and Debate clause. Also being a public figure, the standards to sue for defamation are so high as to be unreachable.

No. But, He will be the first president to ever had gone through impeachment and then acquitted in the senate to have been re-elected to the office BY A LANDSLIDE!

THAT, my friend will be the greatest testament to his presidency.

WE..WE..WE, have to make sure that happens.

As for those in the house? Make sure we get the house majority and then DEMAND those responsible get expelled.

And again, It is WE who have to make sure that happens.

No, I don’t think so.

The President should start DOJ/FBI investigations and counterintellignece investigations into those traitorous swampers who organized the coup.

Does the President have the power to refer to the AG for an investigation into all the people involved in the plot to remove him by any means?

I haven’t been able to find out if that is crossing the line that he can’t refer an investigation into something that could be criminal in intent.

Impeach = Indicted

He will be tried and found not guilty. He will not be found innocent, however.

President Trump should make the case that it was the House Democrats who devalued the meaning of impeachment, not him, by pursuing this partisan witch hunt.

He should then say that Adam Schiff is back in his office right now writing up a subpoena for John Bolton for their next impeachment.
