He was out all last week, mostly announced, and now today he's out again. During one of the most politically-charged moments in history.
I can only assume he's ill? I hope not, and that's he's ok but this has been really strange.
I think Rush had the flu, which can turn nasty.
I have often thought how we fill the void of no Rush. He’s probably made enough money, and he is alas getting older. We must face the day when he is no longer behind the Golden EIB microphone.
Who will be his successor? Steyn is cool, but no match. The other shock jocks they bring in are no where near as effective. He even had Chris Matthews fill in for him before!
We also have to face the day Trump retires. 5 more years and then what? Pence probably can’t hold the voter mass. Nikki Haley is obviously running, as is Cruz.
My wife is now addicted to the daytime TV soaps. Don't get me stared . . . !!!

I don’t know. Sometimes I feel that way, sometimes not. The guy today, Todd Herman? I’m warming up to him. And remember folks, there’s only one Rush. Some of his younger guest hosts are the next batch. Paying their dues and learning to talk to Conservative audiences on a very big stage.
Cut em some slack. Help Rush shepherd them along.

Yes! excellent point. He just cuts to the chase, with no BS.
I like reading Steyn more than listening to him. Writing allows one to compose their thoughts and the prose. Not everyone can do it live and off the cuff without reading from a script.
I really enjoy Bongino when he fills in for Hannitus Interruptus. I get to hear the last part of every guests’ sentences.
I listen to Bongino’s podcast sometimes - he’s a little more relaxed and a bit more angry in his podcast (justified anger), but he’s a little more polished and controlled when he hosts.

I more or less schedule my day around listening to Rush.
It's a big disappointment when he's gone.

Rush has always said that THINGS come up WHEN he’s on vacation.
I didn’t turn the radio on until 1 Eastern time - so who was filling in for Rush? The station is covering the trial and the Chaplain was giving the prayer - what a voice that guy has. He must have been a great pastor..

I think of who could replace Rush as well. Maybe two hosts. Dan Bongino and Tom Cotton....I could listen to them.
Many think Don Trump Jr. would be good in 2024, but I think he’s a bit of a loose cannon. Believe it or not, I think the president is quite controlled. Personally, I like Eric Trump. He doesn’t feel the need to curse in every tweet like Don Jr. I think Eric is more mature.
