The problem is that hag won’t release the impeachment papers until next summer.

- Chief Justice John Roberts will convene the Senate trial, with all 100 senators – including the four Democrats who are still presidential candidates – required to be in attendance for 6 days every week until the trial concludes;

I would start the trial at the end of January and keep it going until just after Super Tuesday. LOL!

Pelosi should pull the articles and go back to square one. It’s her only play if the rats really want to impeach Trump. By doing that, Schiff and Nads can call on new witnesses.

I dont get why the 4-5 Senators running for President get to vote on impeaching their political rival

Esp when this is all supposedly about Trump misusing his power to go after a political rival

It’s kind of surreal. It is always OUR LEADERSHIP where the idiots reside, and the Democrats outsmart us. But, in the Senate, Scheumer is about the dumbest leader that I’ve ever seen in DC.

Even Pelosi I better understand - she simply had no choice but to bring up impeachment if she wanted to keep her job...her caucus had the votes to oust her.

Graham has said that he’s ready to vote on a 25 day countdown to a Senate vote, if the papers aren’t delivered (and that would be to dismiss with prejudice). It should be more like 14 days, but it does light a fire under the Dems.

By the way, other reports have ALL Senate Republicans now on board with McConnell, including our favorite 3 RINOs.

...just something to think about when you see trolls here claiming that there is no difference between the parties.

No trial....no full senate hearing...neither is necessary. The Supreme Court has already ruled that when the Constitution says the Senate has sole authority to try impeachments, and can make its own rules, whatever process the Senate decides is okay and cannot be appealed to any court. Mitch can relegate the “hearing” to a single committee which could then report its recommendation for the full senate vote. LINK

And interesting standoff; The Senate will vote on the rules once they have a valid impeachment before them.

And Pelosi says she won’t send the impeachment until they have voted on the rules and she approves of them.

So, until Pelosi caves, there will be no impeachment trial. The senate has no particular interest in it anyway.

Meanwhile, on another front, a group of republican senators are trying to establish a way to dismiss the impeachment without it ever being submitted, by passing a rule that says essentially that the house only has a certain number of days to send over impeachment articles.

The only reason we don’t have such a rule now is, up to this point, nobody could imagine a speaker of the house would ever reverse the will of the house and refuse to send to the senate something that had been duly passed by the house.

No trial! Immediate dismissal of unconstitutional articles is the ONLY proper, Constitutional response.
