I do not know what these laws may be, but can’t he simply reassign people to other positions, in places they’d be less troublesome?
We could take a big step in stripping the Nazi-collaborator Soros of US citizenship. He lied on his entry form(declared he was stateless while a citizen of Hungary) and he allegedly lied on his application for citizenship (failure to disclose that he was a Nazi-collaborator).
When will it end? It will end with the IG report. It will end when the Department of Justice begins rounding up democrats left and right. It will end when Attorney General Barr begins exercising his constitutional duty and begins to order arrest warrants. It will end when all Republicans begin a concerted effort to fight back.
If none of these things happen? Then “it “will never end.

I would be very surprised if any GOP Senators vote to convict. It’s too damaging to GOP morale and likely to cause ticket splitting. Obviously, the useless GOP Senators on the ballot in 2020 don’t want Trump voters splitting their ticket in a protest vote.
The “ending” should “begin” with indictments, then convictions.
THAT will make it stop, when the conspirators (and their lawyers if necessary) are imprisoned.
Also, elections.
Also, the continuous addition of Circuit Court nominees, who will slap down District judges.

Nancy and Chuckie will demand the White House not prosecute the participants, nor continue to exact Trump Administration Campaign Promises to reorganize the USG. They will demand Trump take a public black eye and thus wound the presidency. They will essentially demand that the will of half the the people of the United States be left unrepresented by election, and that the morphing into another communist state continue, with the US at the helm of the World Socialist Party taking the mantle from Mother Russia.
On the other hand should Trump preserve and prosecute and remove the participants, he will continue to be hamstrung for an indefinite period - thus passing the mantle to his successor after his eight years simply due to the fact that the MSM has discredited itself as a wing of the Democratic Nationalist Committee of the Communist Party formerly known as the DNC.
Trump will realign the US diplomatically with Russia and China to herald a historic period where Africa and S. America are free from hemogancy of the Great Powers, striping European States from skimming the wealth of Africa to balance their failing Socialist leadership.
Russia and the US will institute a morality based societal leadership for the world making impossible the Pedifelodic Corrupt Drug fueled leadership of the World today.
More likely, massive defeats will ignite them to new heights of frenzy. The communists used to die down a bit for a couple years after the events you listed, but no longer. Now they keep the pressure on forever and operate in the open. They see the number of Americans favoring socialism and communism rising to never-before-seen levels and they see their people now getting elected to our Congress. They are emboldened like never before in our history.
This will not get under control until some strong Eugene McCarthy, Richard Nixon, and Whitaker Chambers type anti-communists emerge and communists are once again outlawed. But we waited far too long — they are entrenched and that won’t happen.
Tragically for our country, rule 308 probably is the only way it ends.

I'm sure Trump has some plans for his second term. And he can be vindictive.
I think it would be fun to start up a new government agency, located in the middle of nowhere, that has a meaningless assignment and no budget (other than employment).
Then reassign all of the deep staters into exile. No violation of union employment agreements!

I have seen several sources that said Pierre is quietly trying to get others join him.
Pierre is gaslighting. Is there a vote now? Nope. McConnell’s plan right seems to be never have a vote. Allow the House a free hand to impeach POTUS and then dismiss without a Senate trial.
That could change depending on Pierre and his Never Trump caucus of course. I’m not sure they want a damaging trial because that forces a spot light and tough votes for Collins, Gardner, etc.
