House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced on Monday that they would be voting on a resolution to formalize the next steps of the ‘impeachment inquiry.’
From Daily Caller:
“We are taking this step to eliminate any doubt as to whether the Trump Administration may withhold documents, prevent witness testimony, disregard duly authorized subpoenas, or continue obstructing the House of Representatives,” Pelosi said in a letter to Democrats early Monday.
But then later in the day, she came out and said that this was “not an impeachment resolution.”(when asked by a reporter, see video at link)
So is it an actual formal floor vote to open an impeachment inquiry? Or something pretending to be in order to try to remove the Republicans’ good argument that they don’t have the proper authority and are acting without transparency?

This is just another cynical attempt to take documents and interview staff they should not have access to. Separation of Powers - executive privileged exists for a very constitutional reason.
She should just have it “deemed passed” since she doesn’t have the votes.
The same way she crammed Obamacare down America’s throat.
And we all know if Republicans were engaging in this type of political shenanigans the corrupt MSM would be going wall-to-wall picking apart every single detail of this blatant subterfuge.

If it’s not an impeachment resolution, it’s still a fake impeachment Nancy.

Yet they have no enforcement mechanism absent impeachment and removal. And they intend to impeach...for SOMETHING.
