If she had fired blindly out the window, not only would she still be dead, she would have given the cop the excuse to kill her.

As a defensive shooter and responsible gun owner, I am accountable for every round that goes down range. I don't want any misses, so I am always sure of my target and what's behind it or between me and the target. Your philosophy as applied here is scary and, as I said, irresponsible.
