Playing video games at 2:30am with an eight year old and the front door open? Really?
It seems the media want the most important factor throughout this horrible story to be the woman’s color.
May have been posted? Freep much? You know this subject was posted. Many times. You post a lot of threads. Mostly duplicates of previous FR threads.
Why do you do this? Just curious?
Based on the details so far (and assuming they are true) I don’t think this is murder. Reckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter at best.
Texas has broad murder statute
The jury won’t be as forgiving to him since he’s not a cute little petite blond female who can cry at the drop of a hat.
Does anybody know whether the interior lights were on, allowing the officer to see in the house, but possibly preventing her from seeing out? Because the report said the officer was using his flashlight to look in the window, maybe they were playing video games in the dark.
Also I am curious whether any of the officers entered the house before the shooting. If not, why would they announce they were the police before checking out the exterior?
Im thinking there is a whole lot more to the story than what is being reported. Its way to early for the mayor and others to call this a murder, when, at least superficially, it looks more like potentially self defense or at the worst, involuntary manslaughter. Pretty sure the police didn't offer special prizes at roll call for killing innocent black citizens.
Also cant figure out how this is a civil rights violation.
I guess thats what the cops get for doing their job. Goes to show how just checking the welfare of a citizen can go sideways so quickly.
