This "Deep State" of career bureaucrats lack a singular REQUIRED ATTRIBUTE and have an extreme deficiency; they are UNELECTED and are deficient in being outside "Checks & Balances"! Their 'dedication' to the U.S. Constitution and respect for the 'rule of law' is, at the very least, open to question but as they constitute formless and faceless mass, it is hard to isolate and question individually, isn't it? What is not questionable is their majority innate big government tendencies as statistics amply demonstrate them to be LEFTist and Democratic voting.

Yeah I figured it would come down to this. It’s been fairly obvious for a while now to anyone paying attention that the basic Deep State argument is “yes our methods were corrupt but our heart was in the right place”.
It’s the only argument they can make once the facts come out. And those facts will come out through the various reports of Horowitz, Durham, etc.
Gonna be a big test for the Republic whether the public accepts the argument.
