Elizabeth Warren has been absurdly playing dodgeball in response to the question as to whether she would raise middle class income taxes in order to pay for the incredibly expensive Medicare For All program that she supports. Her constant evasions have become so noticeable as to become laughable. One interesting thing is that she usually begins her evasive answers with the word "So." It has been used so often that "So" is now the official Elizabeth Warren tell that she is about to give a forked tongue response.
PING!
Our domestic enemies LOVE taxes, Pocahontas (right, Bernie?) so be PROUD of what you want to do to America.
Just like your god the Fraud was!
That’s one question where if you refuse to answer your answer is YES.
Her campaign team is probably remembering how Mondale lost 49 states after promising to raise taxes so they are advising her to NOT say “yes” no matter how ridiculous it makes her look.
So—I did not cut down that cherry tree... :-)
“”One interesting thing is that she usually begins her evasive answers with the word “So.”””
Nearly everyone in this country (and an awful lot in this forum) starts their sentences with “SO” and it’s pretty darned perturbing.
“”I believe that I am the FIRST (and perhaps only) person to point out that Elizabeth Warren forked tongue tell of “So.”””
You probably are the first to point out the “tell” but I’ve been complaining about the mis-use of “so” for ages. Where it came from no one knows but I wish it would get lost along with the SING SONG of people’s speech!!! Can’t people hear themselves?
The SING-SONG is more like the trend to make all sentences sound like questions even if they are not questions.
Can’t say I agree 100% with this but enough is covered to explain the use of it..
This first became noticeable to me during one of the congressional committee hearings years ago - every witness started their reply to questions with SO - it could have been some of the IRS hearing re Lois Lerner. By the way, where is she these days?

The money saved from no private insurance premiums, no deductibles, no co pays etc. will be sucked up in payroll taxes so it is a push.
“”The SING-SONG is more like the trend to make all sentences sound like questions even if they are not questions.””
And my question is WHY - why on earth do they do it? I can’t turn any TV program off fast enough when they start singing their sentences..It’s as bad as “So”....
We lived in CA before we retired and got out of the state and I say the sing-song came from the influence of Spanish speakers in the state. It wasn’t true years ago but as time went on and the population exploded with Spanish speakers, the sing-song did also!
Perhaps someone will tell her about this observation and we can see if she stops using it...That would be a hoot!
How to claim the Republicans found medicare for all would save money: Did conservative study show big savings for Bernie Sanders' Medicare for All plan?. There were two results one is if Medicare for All worked it would save $2 trillion. The other if it failed it would cost $3 trillion more. Sanders and Warren leave out what happens if Medicare for All fails to lower cost. She either has to raise taxes or increase the deficit and everyone knows it.
And as we all know, optimistic speculations about low government spending on entitlements have always been right. /s^2
I hear ya! I have been correcting my tv screen for years every time someone says we are a "democracy". We are a Constitutional Republic.
I doubt either one of us will have any luck in changing these two things.
Nothing wrong with her being a liar - she’s a Democrat.
